Bois Flotté L'Occitane en Provence 2021

Like most of this brand's fragrances, this is a blast. Seaweeds, salt and rosemary give it a greenish ocean vibe, like the classic Acqua di Gio style, but this takes a purer approach to the opening with no citruses or flowers, giving just a clean ocean whiff. The algae remains for most of the duration of the fragrance, but it's slowly overtaken by the woods, it takes a sweet turn thanks I imagine to the nutmeg, but always remaining with a wet salty tone.
Great performance, lasts up to 8 hours for me depending on the conditions, but guarantees at least solid 4 on the worst heat I've tried it on. Projects well too, tho it's far from nuclear. Wonderful fragrance, probably my favorite hidden gem in my collection so far. Maybe isn't ideal for a scorching hot tropical beach but perfect for milder ones like the mediterranean shorelines that inspired this fragrance.
