Not a good date for December...

The first spray was really "uh-oh." I was about to scrub my wrists. Much too harsh, much too masculine and somehow reminiscent of someone or something that tends to be rather unpleasant, but I couldn't quite place it. Then the decision to give Salina at least a chance to develop until the evening. And that was a very good decision. In my perception, the fragrance became much softer, more pleasing, somehow "lighter" in the course of the hours, without becoming sweet, powdery or creamy. Maybe it's the vanilla that then asserts itself so peu a peu. I definitely can't really smell it as a single one. Even after this development it is still not what I had expected. It went more in the direction of light blue, small whitecaps on soft waves, white wooden houses, sunshine, the Hamptons. Even now, after a few hours, it has not become that. So I tend to go in the direction that is already mentioned in 1, 2 comments: something slightly algae, spray, stormy sea. Even now, after many hours, we have not really found each other. But I also think that the wearing premiere for this fragrance in December is not the best time. At the moment, I'm primarily wearing "lost cherry" by Tom Ford, which envelops me like a warm coat with something liqueur-like and marzipan-like about it, and for me it fits perfectly into this season of glitter and sparkle, cocooning and homeliness. The difference to "Salina" could hardly be greater. And it doesn't matter whether you associate Salina more with a sun-drenched early summer day in the Hamptons or a stormy grey beach walk on a North Sea island or the Darss. In any case, it's all about freshness, something clear, something "outside", and all this need not blow me away right now in December. I think the chances are better in the brighter season and then I will definitely give us another try. He has something, but for me also really something that must fit. The mood, the setting, the time of year... Whatever. See you next year✌
