This is how you make even an Easter fire appealing to me.
Due to the interesting comments, I imagined this scent. My taste in fragrances is quite diverse, but I really weaken when it comes to orientals, and this one sounds really interesting.

And it is indeed.

The scent changes very little over time, and unfortunately, the sillage is absolutely below average. But what you can smell is wonderful. Birch tar smells a bit like burnt wood. But not sooty and dirty, rather smoky-soft with a clear woody note. It pairs very well with the leather, which appears quite dark and heavy here. I only perceive a hint of oud. In fact, it's mostly just at the beginning. Just like a bit of fresh-green, which can only be the grapefruit peel. I wouldn't have come up with that on my own because nothing here smells citrusy. The smokiness increases over time. But always with a slight freshness in the background. There’s no stuffy smokehouse bits here.

The scene I have in mind is as follows: Imagine you lit an Easter fire in a forest clearing the day before (this is still customary for us, I don't like it at all because a lot can go wrong... and please don't do such things in a forest clearing. That only works in fragrant daydreams). A bit of smoke lingers in the air, mixing with the woody forest scent. Also, it rained in the morning, and the grass smells really nice and moist and fresh (at least where it hasn't burned, pfft).

So I get annoyed that people have to mess around with fire in nature again because it's tradition, but at least it smells good. This mixture of green-fresh and smoky-woody is really beautiful. And since the sillage is unfortunately so weak, the scent can surely be worn well in summer. However, I would recommend it more for the evening. Because despite the freshness, it is somehow a dark and very mysterious scent.

Fortunately, I bought a large bottle. Now I can practically douse myself with this wonderful stuff, which is unfortunately sorely needed. That way, Orient Treasure lasts until the evening.

Anyone who likes it smoky but still fresh and exciting should definitely try this wonderful scent. For both ladies and gentlemen alike.

Insider Tip
I strongly suspect that this is a purely synthetic fragrance. What I smell has its own reality. But to describe it, I have to choose familiar analogies, knowing that this does not capture the essence of the thing. The manufacturer's description also does not quite hit the mark in my opinion: grapefruit, oud, leather, birch tar. Yes, when you sniff and ask yourself could this be? I can definitely answer that question with yes. Without these guidelines, I would choose others, namely

Spices, freshly grated, and the essential oils linger lightly in the air: including allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg
Sometimes I also combine these scent impressions as milk coffee or as yogi tea with milk
then again as freshly sawn wood, the scent of a sun-drenched sawmill in the air
A bit of mint or cough syrup on the skin, from which this aura rises
which I sometimes identify in close proximity to the skin as chocolate pudding.

It all sounds like chaos now, but it is not; rather, it is a wonderfully harmonious fragrance that is just a bit difficult to describe. It definitely lacks all nuances of flowers, fruits, and amber tonka vanilla. It is very noticeably present throughout the day, more or (later) less, and never boring, even though it is very round and smooth in a synthetic way.

It is supposed to be a men's fragrance. I would be curious to know how it performs from a masculine perspective. In high summer temperatures, it unfolds well; how it does in winter remains to be seen. I am very pleased to have discovered this extraordinary fragrance.

Terre animale de Oud&Leatherwood
Well, once again I got lucky at TK-Maxx, discovering a fragrance that was previously unknown to me, originally priced at 111!!! euros, for just under 20 euros. And what a fragrance it is!!! Birch tar, oud, grapefruit. Few ingredients, but they have a lot of depth. "Orient Treasure" starts off with a grapefruit note that is bitter, almost "floating." It has a distinctly "animalistic" note, which comes from the oud. Then a leathery-birch tar and "earthy" scent joins in, bathing the whole composition in a bitter sweetness (really!!!). Somehow, "Orient Treasure" reminds me of "Terre de Hermes," only this scent from Langé is a bit "heavier," even though it conveys a woody freshness. And to my surprise, contrary to the above "Parfumo" claims, it lasts a very long time and has a noticeable yet unobtrusive sillage that accompanies me for many hours. A term comes to mind for this fragrance that perhaps some of you know: "With your head in the clouds - with your feet on the ground." It conveys a grounded, harmonious scent impression that calms the mood. Almost like a yoga practice from the bottle, the head is clear, the legs/feet are "grounded," and the "moods" are mindful, neutral, and calm. And that is also the "Oriental" aspect of this fragrance: Asian harmony......

Grapefruit is fresh and bitter
well-spiced on dry wood
a leather rag waves from afar
sweet, it has chased away the tar

It doesn't smell like the Orient here, it smells like coming from a Scandinavian forest where you sat by the river on moss and fished for trout -)

fresh and oudy, never stinky, slightly smoky ... in the dry down after about 1h almost a Quentin Bisch DNA like in Bois Imperial or Ganymed!

Ah, what a cool blind buy: woody-rough and crunchy-delicious. Barbershop-like but with a smoky rubber note plus niche character!

Beautiful summery-fresh scent that expresses itself through grapefruit smoke with accompanying woodiness. Slightly sweet-synthetic, but that’s okay.

Wonderful dark "leather cracker" with a good dose of bittersweet grapefruit and wood in the background. Delicately barn-like and wonderfully smoky-resinous!

Citrusy + delicate fruity + woody scent. A barely noticeable fecal note shines through here + there. Oriental? Not at all. Passable.
