Fresh sea breeze or cozy vanilla powder? Surprise me!
Ever since I got to know this fragrance, I've wanted to smell it all the time. And of course I do, so I spray it on a lot - but the fragrance has two faces for me.
Ana Abiyedh Poudrée was a blind buy and I was sure from the start that I would love it - I really like sweet powder fragrances. But so far, something has bothered me about many of them in the long run, which is why I've "grown tired" of almost all powder fragrances so far after a short time. Only Kenzo Amour never got boring - but it's just far too sweet in summer.
Ana Abiyedh Poudrée is perfect in this respect. Sweet but not too overpowering, floral but not too flowery, powdery but not dusty or old-fashioned, and clean without that synthetic note that usually bothers me so often. Simply a flattering, very pleasant companion. I usually notice it on my skin for about 5-6 hours with 2-3 sprays, on my clothes much longer. For the price, this is something to be proud of.
When my boyfriend smelled the fragrance on me for the first time, his reaction was also positive. "Mhh, you smell good... What does it smell like? Smells kind of like... Sea." Sea? I looked at him, confused at first. "It smells kind of salty to me, like sea air. But I like it, it smells really good." I was fascinated, I would never have thought of an association with sea air. Nothing salty or aquatic was recognizable to me here. Until the moment I heard those words.
Do you know that when you look at a photo or listen to a song and someone else points out a detail (e.g. "that looks like..." or "that sounds like she's singing (different lyrics)") that you wouldn't have noticed - then you see/hear it too and suddenly you ONLY notice that?
Well, from then on I noticed a fresh, salty, powdery and only slightly sweet sea breeze in Ana Abiyedh Poudrée. And I also found that simply beautiful. Refreshing, pleasant... But maybe the scent just develops completely differently on my skin in the heat. The summer days are just getting a little cooler here again (~20°C instead of ≥30°C) and suddenly it's back, the powdery sweet vanilla that I smelled at the beginning.
In the meantime, I was also able to get to know "Black Tie | Celine" and I have to say - there is no comparison between the two. I also fell in love with the "Black Tie | Celine", but the Ana Abiyedh Poudrée would not be a satisfactory alternative for me if I were hoping for a fragrance twin to the Black Tie. Ana Abiyedh Poudrée is an independent fragrance that leans in a similar direction, but is miles away from Black Tie. "Black Tie | Celine" is creamier, more vanilla, sweeter, heavier and spicier. Ana Abiyedh Poudrée is more powdery, lighter, fluffier, more restrained and more suitable for everyday use. It's still too sweet for acute heat waves, but otherwise I find it easy to wear even in summer. And sometimes even with a little sea breeze that comes through from time to time...
Ana Abiyedh Poudrée has become one of my feel-good fragrances. And "Black Tie | Celine" too, by the way... especially on cooler, almost autumnal nights. In other words: the two are very different, but both are simply beautiful in their own right and I wouldn't want to be without either of them. But especially for the price, Ana Abiyedh Poudrée is simply recommendable.
