An opulent floral fragrance
After being totally thrilled with the Dilys Eau de Parfum just a few days ago, I am now looking at a vintage miniature of the "Dilys (Parfum) | Laura Ashley." Unfortunately, I wasn't quite as enthusiastic in the end, but I was still taken with it. Here, I found the scent to be somewhat more tempestuous and thus less harmonious. The longevity on my skin is over 12 hours with a good sillage.
The top note begins directly floral and creamy with a subtle fruitiness of orange blossoms and neroli. In the heart note, a decent creaminess remains, and the sea of flowers intensifies. I recognize tuberose, ylang-ylang, and jasmine blossoms. Lily of the valley and daffodils bring a substantial and greenish aromatic quality to the fragrance. It also has a soapy scent, reminiscent of fabric softener. In the base, iris and violet provide a fine powderiness, accompanied by a touch of sandalwood and a delicate sweetness.
It's a pity that the Dilys Parfum seems a bit less balanced to me than the "Dilys (Eau de Parfum) | Laura Ashley." But the perfume is still a well-rounded fragrance overall.
