An opulent floral fragrance
After being totally thrilled with Dilys Eau de Parfum just a few days ago, I am now looking at a vintage miniature of Dilys Parfum. In the end, I was unfortunately not quite as enthusiastic but still impressed. I found the fragrance a little more effervescent and therefore less harmonious. The longevity on my skin is more than 12 hours with a good sillage.
The top note starts off floral and creamy with a subtle fruitiness of orange blossom and neroli. The heart note remains creamy and the sea of flowers intensifies. I recognize tuberose, ylang-ylang and jasmine blossoms. Lily of the valley and narcissus add a neat, greenish aroma to the fragrance. It also smells soapy and therefore a little like fabric softener. In the base, iris and violet provide a fine powderiness, which is accompanied by a little sandalwood and a subtle sweetness.
It's a shame that the Dilys Parfum seems a little less balanced to me than the Dilys Eau de Parfum. But the perfume is also an all-round successful fragrance.
