Beautiful combination...
....that lingers in the memory of the scent. It's not so easy to describe "Leonard Homme." In any case, it has, first of all: a unique character. Secondly, it is not just for men. Thirdly: the fragrance is versatile and anything but "static." Leonard Homme starts off quite citrusy and slightly spicy, with the pepper being well-balanced. Then follows a parade of wonderfully green aromatic violet leaves and a hint of their flowers. Soft and rounded. The aroma of clary sage is a bit of an acquired taste for my nose, yet it still brings me pleasure upon closer sniffing. A finely balanced scent with a sweet undertone. It is not clearly assignable to a specific gender. But the fragrance journey is not finished yet. After 5 to 6 hours, as it approaches the "base," something crucial comes into play: warm, noble wood and my beloved incense!! The two then determine the direction without truly overshadowing the other components. The whole fragrance becomes really deep and warm, and thanks to the incense, it also has a certain mysterious quality. Not directly "sacred," but a hint of that seems to hover over everything. I have now followed "Leonard Homme" in detail for the first time, although I have worn it a few times before. But all the beautiful facets have only now truly caught my attention. One must give a perfume time to be able to fully appreciate it.

Fine Office Worker
Another perfume from a fashion house.

Leonard, a French fashion house founded in the late 50s and known for collections of printed, lightweight fabrics, is listed here on Parfumo with 15 perfumes.
Most of them are for women - Leonard was and is not a menswear brand; printed fabrics are rather rare in men's fashion.
There are ties for men - if they can be colorful and floral - available.
Of the 15 listed fragrances, some have no ratings and many have no comments.
There are also no comments on the three men's fragrances, two of which have already been listed. Now there are only two left!

Leonard Homme is quite easy and inexpensive to obtain online.
My sample comes from Oloroso - thank you very much for that.

Leonard Homme starts lightly, fresh, and bright-spicy. Besides the bergamot, there are other ingredients included. However, I wouldn't have guessed nutmeg and pepper.
The top note is beautifully crafted. Nothing pinches, nothing stands out.
The transition to the heart note is smooth and soft.
I see the sage in the heart note as a connecting element to the top note. At most, the sage carries a bit of freshness into the heart note. The violet leaf brings a little herbiness to the cedarwood. Sage and violet leaf kind of dance around the cedarwood and contribute to a very aromatic pencil scent.
This pencil scent is a bit softer and less cool than, for example, in He Wood Rocky Mountain Wood.
I really like it!

After about 2 hours, the incense timidly makes its presence known, laying itself in a fine mist, sometimes in denser clouds over the cedar and guiding the scent into the base note over the next hours.
When the cedar fades, the smoke is noticeable with medium density, alongside a small, soft woodiness and a hint of cream. Here I would now guess the benzoin.

At the end of a long day, the perfume then fades lightly aromatic, creamy, and only slightly smoky.
The longevity is good, and if you applied some lotion beforehand, very good. 10 hours or more.

But, it was quite laborious for me to work out my impressions, as the projection is somehow... catastrophic.
I often had to bring my nose close to my skin or fan air through my shirt to even perceive the scent.
What a shame, because the scent or the scent development is really good!

So, anyone who is in an environment that is disturbed by perfume and can therefore only wear very close-to-skin scents should definitely test this fragrance.
This perfume is certainly not boring and, in my estimation, offers more than many of the scents that are launched with great big names.

Only regarding the scent development, it ranks ahead of Gentlemen Only and other candidates for me.
I will still use up my sample, but it is not a candidate for purchase for me. I would like a bit more projection.

So, in the end, to stay true to my rating system, I can unfortunately only give 60%. If the fragrance had more projection, I would raise it to 80%. Then it would also be a candidate for purchase.
As an office scent, it would be hard to beat.

Addendum from 28.01.2014: Raised to 70%. The sample is not quite empty yet. After wearing it more frequently, with a bit more application, the projection is also sufficient. I like it a lot!
