Summer refresher
There are many summer scents and I have to admit, I haven't found THE ONE yet. Although various AdPs, Armanis, PRs and Hermes have moved in with me, also Rojá´s Elysium (a mega fragrance, but simply too expensive for every day), my search is still not finished - and maybe it will never be, because variety is also quite interesting.
In this respect, it is good to see that some hotels have not only care products in their wellness areas, but also fragrances on offer. That's what happened last week when I stumbled across the homme of Ligne St Barth during a short break and after a short test directly entered the buying process. Classic spontaneous purchase.
A super fresh start of the fragrance, a colourful mixture of various ingredients. Citric echoes, that was to be expected, mixed with oranges, mixed with something minty underneath, the whole garnished with a minimally salty pinch. Green notes are also present from the beginning and become more dominant over time.
At the very beginning, this mixture confused me a bit, because many manufacturers use these individual components as heart notes in their creations and try to arrange something around them. Here comes much felt / smelt at once. Which at first caused me to associate myself with various cheap disco ripper scents. But shortly after the start, when the wild start has subsided a bit, there is simply beautiful, spicy freshness, which becomes greener in the course of time as described above.
A synthetic product? Undoubtedly, and thus purely from the professional rail illuminated, by the rather simple design the price (96 EUR/100ml) not worth. But prices per se are of course always worth discussing (and not only in the perfume sector). Ultimately, it is the fragrance itself that triggers a purchase decision or not. And compared to an Acqua di Säle or Ichnusa still relatively "cheap", although the other two are of course on a completely different level in terms of ingredients.
Durability and Sillage are average, Homme is there in the best company with many citric aquatics, with me it was after all 5 hours.
The bottle is kept super simple, not to say loveless, I already expected a bit more for the price called. In contrast, the AdP blu mediterraneos are a feast for the eyes.
My conclusion: A straightforward everyday summer scent, perfect for warm holidays by the sea, to be settled somewhere between fresh, sparkling and spicy. And certainly worth at least one test
