What else can you write about Imagination that people here haven't heard or don't know yet? It has already been praised to the skies, put down by some and rated as average by others.
Louis Vuitton fragrances stand for themselves in the perfume world.
Great minimalist bottle design, creative names and, thanks to the luxury brand LV + its marketing power, an outstanding high-price image.
The question is: is the price/performance ratio right?
The Imagination is the brand's most popular fragrance alongside Ombre Nomade.
Rightly so in my opinion!
Tea fragrances are on trend.
Imagination is a freshie, i.e. a fragrance for spring & summer.
In the top note, it skillfully plays the extremely popular Sicilian lemon in combo with orange & bergamot, underlaid with black tea, some ambroxan & ginger.
I don't think it changes much over the course of the fragrance.
Of course, the lemony notes diminish and you can also smell some incense later on. Tea & ambroxan remain the whole time.
The ingredients themselves are not necessarily that special. This composition has already been tried to be copied by other brands.
The combination of these makes Imagination something special on the market! Lattafa & Zara have tried, but can't get close enough... There remains too big a gap to really call them clones.
As long as there is no real low-cost competitor, the Imagination must be recognized as the top dog.
Of course, Louis Vuitton can demand a premium price simply because of its luxury image.
But they still do something better with fragrances than other luxury brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Prada or Gucci.
These brands do not manage to achieve such prices on the market with their perfumes and are in some cases very easy to copy.
Even if there were perfect dupes at some point, people will still pay the usual high prices for Louis Vuitton fragrances, because psychology smells too.
Even if a Zara smelled the same high quality, it would still feel wrong to many people. You simply wear an Imagination for ten times the price with more self-confidence.
The durability of the Imagination is pretty much the only point of criticism you often hear.
I myself am relatively satisfied with it.
I think that, unlike other "luxury brands" such as Prada, Armani and the like, Louis Vuitton delivers far more here than is reflected in the Parfumo ratings.
Well, the current rating of 7.8 doesn't quite reflect the sentiment, but does the fragrance justice...it's almost an 8.
And that's good for a "freshie" with this profile.
I can easily wear it for 4-5 hours. And other people still testify to a skin-hugging sillage after about 6 hours.
But which fresh fragrance performs much stronger? What more could you want?
I also like to spray more or change my fragrance from time to time, depending on the time of day.
So I am completely satisfied.
Anyone who wants to afford an Imagination is welcome to do so!
There really is no equal alternative for a tenth of the price in my opinion.
It is a luxury product, just like all of the manufacturer's products, and you will therefore never find these fragrances on the shelves at Müller or heavily discounted in online stores.
This would not fit the image.
