Fortified strength in spicy, sweet, resinous syrup
It opens with a big dose of cinnamon in a chewy resin sweetened by vanilla and rose. The initial burst of spice blends in after a few minutes, allowing the hint of incense to waft in the background over the unctuous labdanum and patchouli. After about 4 hours it settles into a furry patchouli, labdanum, vanilla.

I can see the comparison to Coromandel, but I feel that this one is much more naturalistic. Coromandel may be the "better", more sophisticated fragrance (très Chanel), while Tiger by Her Side is more intuitive and doesn't mind if she isn't everyone's cup of tea. She is a sweet and spicy mood booster for cold winter days. The feeling is very warming, sensual, and confident. A scent for people who are self-assured, comfortable in their skin, and live their own truth.

Bold spicy fragrance that doesn’t give me a headache - yay!
Makes me smell holy.

This fragrance seems to be polarising but for me it is spicy, rich, warming, resinous, balsamic gorgeousness. It opens with coriander, sweet amber, cinnamon, frankincense. I love the bold spicy notes, it smells delicious and feels invigorating yet warming.

I can’t notice the patchouli or rose so much initially, but as it starts to dry down it creeps in beautifully. I really really enjoy this fragrance. It smells like you could be walking into a temple room with rose petals scattered and the finest incense burning.

Yes it’s true it’s not original, but I would rather buy from an ethical company. And quite amazingly, it does not give me a headache or nausea, which I find to be a big problem for me with scents of this profile. The new bottle is very pretty too!

Yummy, syrupy resin and spice bath
I really enjoyed the experience of wearing Tiger by Her Side, despite it clearly being a Greatest Hits tour of perfumes that anyone with similar tastes as me in resins, amber, or patchouli scents will have certainly smelled before. The top half is an orange-tinted, balsamic patchouli with a sour, dusty cocoa-ish edge to it that gives off a pleasant impression of tobacco leaf – close to Tauer’s Sundowner, actually, with a shot of Benjoin Boheme (Diptyque) for good measure.

The bottom half is a deeply resinous amber, dominated by a powdery, cinnamon-heavy benzoin, and darkened with the earthiness of patchouli. Kind of like Chanel Coromandel, but less edible, more sour or tart in direction, and stripped of its white chocolate creaminess. There are even hints of Amber Absolute (Tom Ford) in the drydown. There is a lot of honey here, too. Think big, golden globs of resin melting and hardening to a glaze on your skin.

Tiger by Her Side is absolutely my kind of thing, and I am trying to talk myself out of a travel size. But no, you know what, if I’m wearing a perfume that not only makes me think of five or six other perfumes I either own or used to own, then I think that’s a sign to hang onto my hard-earned cash. I will, however, enjoy the rest of my sample.

Coromandel Overkill

Tiger by her side may be a very exciting name, but the content is actually what you have known for a long time. You don't have to think long to realize that Coromandel is in the bottle here, even if it's pretty sweet and much denser than the Chanel product
The fragrance in itself starts already clearly resinous, dense and has a light aura, which is impregnated with cinnamon.
A lot of sweetness is added, which pushes itself crosswise through the fragrance.
Patchouli crashes like a bomb and doesn't let up for a long time.
Beautiful scent, yes there is nothing there, but the sweetness, which spreads more and more with the time and laces me the air away, is too much for me, but clearly.
A little less, would have fit much more and would have the tiger next to me, but clearly brought to purr. Also, this one would be much more tame than he is now.

Actually, Tiger by her side is much too cheeky and too hyperactive. Something unround ebbt in the fragrance with.
It's not just the sweetness - I miss something here to mercilessly sink into euphoria.

Also the pleasant smell of shallow incense does not make this feeling more saturated.
On the contrary. The smoke is quite weak in the fragrance and gives it a hint,
of damp, dark cellars. As if the tiger was waiting for his executioner in the dim light of the cellar.
A real overkill in my eyes is the fact that Patchouli sacks into the resin as if it would stay there forever and it really pecks extremely at my sensation, so that I can't stand the scent for long without it not annoying me.

The durability and the Sillage are really remarkable and stand Chanel, around nothing after.
But less, is sometimes more is the motto here.

Candidate for purchase it is none, because I own Chanel already for a while and find him clearly rounder than like the tiger, which should tapsen beside me actually gently there

Sweet cinnamon dessert
Tiger By Her Side landed on my test list because I was looking for scents that contained both incense and vanilla. Since I also like to sniff spicy orientals and the comments/statements pointed in this direction, I organized a sample.

Scent:
At the beginning the bergamot comes through very briefly, but also disappears again very quickly. The cinnamon is completely different, standing directly on the mat, loud and present. The cinnamon is also very noticeable throughout the entire fragrance and is for me the main motif of the fragrance Although there is nothing fruity in the pyramid, I could swear I smell apple. All in all, I combine this with a deliciously over-sweetened apple compote/fried apple with plenty of cinnamon and a good shot of high-proof I can hardly smell patchouli and resins as individual components, they combine for me rather to a warm, balsamic foundation. Only towards the end a more earthy note is noticeable.
After about 4 hours the scent becomes more skin-tight and loses some of its sweetness.

Conclusion:
All in all, the scent is already very sweet, but for me personally it fits to the contained scents, but you should definitely go for sweet scents, otherwise it will be too much for you.
The scent is also heavy, rich and dense, which makes it more like a winter scent.
Although Tiger By Her Side has oriental touches, I would rather understand it as a cinnamon dessert and less as an oriental bazaar because of its (for me personally clearly pronounced) fruitiness, and for me it even falls more into the Christmas corner.
Since both incense and vanilla are rather well interwoven and not the main protagonists, the search for incense vanilla continues for me.

Cinnamon and rose initially, but the dry down is something else entirely. Heavy resin and patchouli, feels like an occult store.

I was excited to try this, but all I got was cinnamon bun. Not wearable to me.

Cinnamon and more cinnamon. Reminds me of something my grandma wore, not that that's a bad thing.

An earthy patchouli wrapped in dusty spicy amber, smells old but timeless. Very delicate and elegant take on patchouli, one of a kind.
