Moonlight and Sunlight
Through a dear friend, I came across this natural perfume - she smelled so good, and when I asked her what she was wearing, the answer was: "It's a natural perfume from the company Maienfelser - Moonlight."
I received a small sample from her, and since then I have been completely taken with this beautiful scent, which immediately found its place with me.
Moonlight somehow suggests an evening or night fragrance, but far from it - the scent is not only suitable as a cozy sleep fragrance but also as a warm, sunny daytime scent. It is zesty and invigorating, yet calm and relaxing - an exceptionally soothing blend of contradictory sensations!
It is more of a subtle fragrance, without a punch and without loudly shouting "HERE!" it gently wraps itself around you like a light, silky cloth that caresses the body transparently.
The first breath of the scent is like a freshly cut, sweet citrus fruit, without acidity, without sharpness. Then a delicate rose begins to emerge, one of those scent roses that releases its fragrance lightly fruity without being soapy or overly rosy.
Rosewood grounds the scent a bit and adds a woody note, although not specified, but if you know the essential oil, you can appreciate that rosewood reflects much of a rose without imposing the often unloved, overly "rosy" aspects.
The base is soft and warm with vanilla, tonka, and sandalwood - cozy and calming.
A beautiful scent to wear at any time of day or night, regardless of the season; you want to have it around you and on you constantly.
The sillage is not very pronounced, and the longevity is rather low; you have to and want to reapply more often, but that's something you know from natural perfumes. I don't mind that; I prefer scents that can be layered and are not overwhelmingly strong.
