A fragrance with little barbs...

It's one that I kind of like, but had never worn myself (except to test it). This "Malizia" has a spicy-rough, a sweet-tart and a fougère-like fresh side, an "all-rounder" in my opinion.
At the beginning, it already has the prominent and warm woody saffron note, which is then complemented by flowers of carnation and rose. It stays that way for a long time... round and also somehow soft.
The whole bouquet would be beautiful if it weren't for a rather harsh, harsh musky note in the "final phase" of the fragrance, which has an aftertaste of vanilla (not listed in the fragrance pyramid)
This is where my opinions differ. It reminds me of a Tom Ford fragrance that I once tested. I also had this slightly disturbing impression with Oud Wood Eau de Parfum. This may be due to my nose, which doesn't like these particular combinations. It's as if there are little barbs in a place where they don't belong.
Nevertheless, "Oud Arabesque" has a great progression, right up to that particular point, which is not "mine". It is definitely oriental, has good longevity and a pleasant sillage. Too bad... but now it moves on, I hope to please the recipient's nose better .
I'm almost certain that he "has it good" there ;-))
