Wonderfully affordable rose fragrance

Every time I enter a store and see perfumes, I have to sniff my way through them. I was surprised to discover three fragrances in the Marc o Polo store, with the name "Earth" immediately appealing to me the most. But I was more surprised by this incredibly strong dark rose, which I hadn't expected at all and which really excited me. Somehow it smelled luxurious to me.
As I had been looking for a rose fragrance that I liked for a long time and that didn't completely break the budget, I couldn't get this fragrance out of my head. Until one day I was browsing the Marc o Polo website and found this fragrance as the only one of the three on sale for a mere 40 euros. Bagged it straight away.
When I got home, I sprayed myself with it straight away and enjoyed this wonderful rose, which later on in the drydown I also noticed a slight feeling of too much sweetness, almost like dextrose. Nevertheless, the woody notes and the rose are unbeatable for the price in my opinion and a real insider tip!

The dark rose hedge

I first came across the three unisex fragrances Sky, Rain and Earth in a Marc O'Polo store. As the simple but unusual bottles appealed to me, I immediately tested them and after my first impression, Rain and Earth went straight onto my watch list. In addition to the beautiful bottles, another special feature of the Marc O'Polo fragrance presentation is that the complete composition of the fragrances can be read on the website.

Earth immediately impresses with its intense, dark rose note. While I love the scent of roses in itself, I don't find it easy to find a rose fragrance that I would want to wear as a perfume myself. They are usually too sweetly feminine for me (especially when combined with fruity notes) or too old-fashioned (especially when combined with aldehydes or powdery notes). The ones that aren't and are aimed specifically at men often combine the rose with fragrances that are completely unpleasant to my nose.

Earth shows that there is another way - and it doesn't even have to be exorbitantly expensive. It smells transparent, natural, darkly luminous and simply beautiful. The rose is combined with a very slightly smoky woody base, which is reminiscent of fragrances such as Tam Dao Eau de Parfum or Wonderwood. The ratio of rose to wood is very balanced. Overall, Earth paints the picture of a dark, mysterious hedge for me.
