Stardust
Amita had been on my wishlist for a while and then I received it from the lovely Opalmond in a lovely Secret Santa package.
BillyBumbler wrote an excellent statement about this fragrance and I can fully agree with her. I also had citrus stars in front of my eyes and in my mind, although this took some time. You have to feel your way around it a little at first to understand it and then just let the whole thing work its magic on you with a lot of enjoyment and relaxation. You get a lot for not too much money here and I have not yet come across a similar fragrance. So it is authentic and somehow unique.
This Italian beauty starts with a warm breeze of countless blossoms, which do not overwhelm the wearer, but slowly approach them. First and foremost, an easily digestible iris, which also brings some lilac with it. A warm blanket of orange and myrrh soon envelops the wearer. Velvety tones of spices join in, giving everything a full effect. Citrus flutters in the warm wind, drifting along with some aniseed and tobacco, beautifully framed by a soft, earthy note that becomes almost creamy. Many citrus stars then disintegrate, dissolving into fine stardust. This literally spreads over the warm skin, penetrating deep into every pore. Powdery, sweet facets light up the horizon. It all seems so soft, so secure, with a slightly childlike quality, but this does not detract from the fragrance. On the contrary.
Towards the end, it is a little vanilla-like, which fits in just right. The berry finish is then slightly bumpy, although the stardust is present until the end. Very consistent, the whole thing with a solid shelf life. The bottle is kept simple, but does its job and also suits the perfume. No intrusiveness due to so many components. Not in any way. Impressive. It simply harmonizes and fits.
