In the perfumery I trust, I wanted to try something different. It is known there that I always welcome amber and tonka bean.
The two notes would not play the main role, she explained. I should let myself be surprised. And so I was handed the scented paper test strip.
I first smelled something cool or fresh, I can't exactly explain what it could be.
But quickly, yet gently, this beautiful sandalwood scent emerged with a hint of tonka bean. Slightly woody, dry, earthy, subtly sweet.
Oh wow, I thought, this is completely different for me. I don’t usually like these dry perfumes.
During the drive home, I kept smelling the test strip. And to my surprise, the scent developed warm, creamy, somehow milky.
Cinnamon is not listed in the scent notes, but I think I perceive a hint of it.
Upon arriving home, I was blown away by this scent. I couldn't stop sniffing it over and over.
Of course, I bought a bottle. It is (for me) a dream how beautifully it connects with my skin.
