Young Maroussia

An older colleague who always wore great perfume recently retired. Unfortunately, I didn't ask her what fragrance she was using. And over and over again, I was annoyed by it. Unhappy, sad, and also eager to buy, I headed to a city perfumery I'd never been to.

"Can I help you?"
To which I replied, "I'm looking for a new perfume."
After 12 perfumes, which I had declined with thanks, the saleswoman stopped in front of a large Narciso display, "Musc Noir, we have it brand new!"
Zack, sprayed on once.
Immediately struck me an attractive wind full of musk.

Then, my realization: this one looks familiar! I take. IMMEDIATELY!

I bathed myself in Musc Noir. And still want to do it (I do!)
This combination of plum, musk and leather (I'm sorry?) is just absolutely feminine. I have to admit, leather, of any variety, does not sit well with me. But Musc Noir implements the suede in the base perfectly, the fragrance becomes thereby not a piece masculine, as I had previously assumed.

As I learned later, my former colleague always wore Maroussia

At some point I bought the fragrance as well and although I learned to love it on my colleague, I am too young for the Russian Tsarina. I can't wear Maroussia.

But if you compare the fragrance pyramids of Maroussia and Musc Noir, you will recognize some similarities (heliotrope, cedar, rose, especially musk)
I remembered thinking in the perfumery, "This one looks familiar!"
And I was right with my guess.

Musc Noir is the younger Maroussia base for me. The enveloping musk, soft cedar with heliotrope and rose, expressive plum and buttery suede.
However, the "noir" in the name puzzles me, though by now I think I smell something like incense in the first few seconds.

PS: This perfumery has become my top destination when I'm in the area. Whether I'm looking for a new perfume or not.
