Young Maroussia
An older colleague who always wore great perfume recently retired. Unfortunately, I didn't ask her what fragrance she was using. And over and over again, I was annoyed by it. Unhappy, sad, and also eager to buy, I headed to a city perfumery I'd never been to.

"Can I help you?"
To which I replied, "I'm looking for a new perfume."
After 12 perfumes, which I had declined with thanks, the saleswoman stopped in front of a large Narciso display, "Musc Noir, we have it brand new!"
Zack, sprayed on once.
Immediately struck me an attractive wind full of musk.

Then, my realization: this one looks familiar! I take. IMMEDIATELY!

I bathed myself in Musc Noir. And still want to do it (I do!)
This combination of plum, musk and leather (I'm sorry?) is just absolutely feminine. I have to admit, leather, of any variety, does not sit well with me. But Musc Noir implements the suede in the base perfectly, the fragrance becomes thereby not a piece masculine, as I had previously assumed.

As I learned later, my former colleague always wore "Maroussia | Slava Zaïtsev"

At some point I bought the fragrance as well and although I learned to love it on my colleague, I am too young for the Russian Tsarina. I can't wear Maroussia.

But if you compare the fragrance pyramids of Maroussia and Musc Noir, you will recognize some similarities (heliotrope, cedar, rose, especially musk)
I remembered thinking in the perfumery, "This one looks familiar!"
And I was right with my guess.

Musc Noir is the younger Maroussia base for me. The enveloping musk, soft cedar with heliotrope and rose, expressive plum and buttery suede.
However, the "noir" in the name puzzles me, though by now I think I smell something like incense in the first few seconds.

PS: This perfumery has become my top destination when I'm in the area. Whether I'm looking for a new perfume or not.

Adult gothic brat
About 10 years ago I acquired "Black XS for Her (Eau de Toilette) | Paco Rabanne" and associated this fragrance, probably because of the bottle, directly with me, a wannabe goth teen. He has remained in my memory as long-lasting, sweet and dark.

Then: last week. In search of winter fragrances. Somehow I feel ~dark~
Was not there once. Black XS? Is there actually still?
An eau de parfum, huh? Quickly compared times the two fragrance pyramids, but looks pretty much the same (= off to the shopping cart)

In the EdP is actually a lot of the same (fortunately!), which makes this fragrance. Unique even makes.
Tamarind flower, Christmas rose, the black violet and vanilla are still there. What a combo! I'm still a fan.
The bottle: an upgrade! Much more noble and adult than the old EdT.
The only thing that has remained here is the squeaky lid, hihi

About the fragrance: it really still smells like my old Black XS! I stand there cheering!
The cocoa flower gives the fragrance a *quite* small bitter note, but this is well reflected in the wood.
The pink pepper also harmonizes here. I miss a bit the cranberry from the EdT.
So: less fruit, but more "round".

I have the feeling, the H / S has (compared to the EdT) a bit slackened. Nevertheless: 1-2 sprays are really enough.

So the goth teen girl has finally grown up, huh? Yes. The bottle can confirm it.

I'm just glad that Paco Rabanne has brought a successful rework on the market.
Who still wants to remember "back then" or the fragrance no longer gets out of his head: Do it to you with pleasure. It's almost like a time machine!

Late summer vacation
As an absolute cherry/almond combo fan, I ordered this interesting looking scent right when it was available. Brand unknown, so complete blind purchase.

First: This bottle! Class! Half moon! Wow! Ah! No, it looks really great and joins the ranks of scents that scream "holiday tan" with that warm brownish color. Now comes the big but: the quality is unfortunately crap. The lid is loose and falls off with the slightest movement. Has anyone experienced similar with Ghost? :(
Nevertheless: I am a fan of the flacon.

The scent: cherry + almond opens. Exactly as I love it. Tangerine and bergamot rather in the background. In the heart quite a lot of flowers, you also notice. The sandalwood gives off a nice warmth (keyword "holiday"), which extends over the whole fragrance. For cold days, I would still not "recommend" the fragrance. The is what for the sunset, evening mood (not at night), semi-fancy going out to eat. For those who just can't let go of summer and always fly to Greece for the fall holidays.

The wearer is young (remained?), but not blood young. Therefore, the fragrance can also be worn on the date, when the Greek acquaintance comes along to the restaurant by the sea.
Happy Urlaubing!

Raspberry red lips
They still exist, the women who wear lipstick every day. One of them I am not (yet).
However, when I see such a woman, I think directly of "Lipstick Fever"...

It starts off strong with fruity, sweet raspberry mixed with violet (whereby the raspberry sticks out to me more), very quickly the fruity sweetness is transformed into powdery, light creamy lipstick.
On fabric I can still perceive the raspberry a little longer in the background, after the lipstick has taken over. On the skin is then only lipstick to perceive.
After vanilla I have to look for, I have found it so far still not.

Durability and sillage are okay, but not significant. After 6 hours I have re-sprayed.

I imagine this fragrance on a well-groomed, modern woman. The raspberry keeps her young (she is, by the way!) and the lipstick heart notes don't make her frumpy, but set her apart, from the rest of the crowd. Prude she is not, nor does she want to be. Still, she's not a party girl.
No matter where she goes, she always has her raspberry-red lipstick with her. From which brand is it? She does not tell me.
