An aromatic fougère par excellence
From the very beginning, Perfumus captivates with a wealth of impressions: citrusy, spicy, herbal, and slightly bitter. With the wonderfully clear citrus note, perhaps bergamot, lemon, and grapefruit, the bitter herbal aspect of artemisia and the ethereal spice of rosemary and caraway emerge, followed shortly by lavender.
The citrus notes fade, while the other notes remain, and lavender moves to the center, closely intertwined with similar and complementary notes. Patchouli emphasizes the earthy and resinous aspects of lavender, and the bitter-green impression may be enhanced by galbanum, angelica, and myrrh. Later, the fragrance becomes slightly powdery and floral through iris - both flower and root - supported by prominent jasmine and perhaps a hint of alpine violet.
Towards the end, lavender and the delicate flowers recede into the background. With a harmonious blend, primarily consisting of vetiver, olibanum, and a touch of oakmoss, the perfume retains its bitter-herbaceous, spicy, and resinous character until the very end.
What a superbly composed fragrance: multifaceted, yet never overloaded. From the elements of the aromatic fougère, rosemary, lavender, and patchouli stand out distinctly, and the accompanying citrus and floral elements blend in beautifully. The aftershave is as expressive, radiant, and long-lasting as an Eau de Toilette, making it completely sufficient for scenting a day or evening.
