Supertanker scent
I think Lacoste buys a supertanker of fresh base fragrance and add a few drops of distinguishing notes to set them apart, they are all so similar! This, like all their other fragrances, is fresh, unprovocative and easy to wear. The added note drops of cardemom, rhubarb, pepper and cedar adds a bit of differentiation to their other offerings. Classic daily office scent, but you won't draw the admiration of fellow perfume connoisseurs.

Fresh, elegant, professional
This is a very good fresh scent. It´s somewhat generic, but it´s hard to stand out within fresh fragances. Yet it has its own distinctive touch thanks to the combination of bergamot, cardamom and rhubarb, that makes a noticeable mix and gives that point of differentiation.

So far it´s the best business fragrance I know. It evokes the image of a director, someone smart, elegant, with a professional look, but at the same time cool, sharp, quick of mind.

I really like this stuff, I didn´t expect anything so good for this price.

Points for uniqueness...I think
Purchased from : eBay
Price paid : $17
Format : 12x sample vials
Method : Left pulse point

I purchased this being a proponent and fan of Five Below's now discontinued La Grande Forever. Someone somewhere on the internet (maybe it was MCH themselves) had said it was a dupe of Lacoste Timeless. Since I wanted a longer lasting version of that, I decided to get the pack of sample vials, the cheapest way possible without buying a full bottle - which was this 12 pack of mini shooters.

I have to shamefully say that this is quite possibly one of the weirdest frags I've experienced. It's NOTHING like MCH's "dupe". Nothing at all.

The aroma is that of freshly snapped rhubarb and celery, dug up from the garden, complete with grey dirt. When you see the rhubarb descriptor note that it is not like rhubarb pie, crunch, or any sugared dessert. This is raw harvested stalks of rhubarb and warm dark green celery. Among that you get lots of freshly brewed green tea, too. You could also say it smells like an upscale Chinese restaurant (where they don't have buffet) and specialize in tea and buns.

Some occasional notes of ginger ale and jasmine rice pop up here and there, and as it sits for awhile it takes a sharp turn into lawn bag.

Projection is average which means it's not bad but not a monster. It's completely mid. Longevity, likewise, isn't bad, but not great, it's about 3 hours.

I'm not going to re-sell these vials, it makes no sense and wouldn't make me any money. Instead I'm gonna have to find a proper use for this scent, and I'll bet it involves dressing up which I don't do often because life's too short unless you're paying respects.

It looks like the Lacoste site has it previously listed for $84/100ml which is more than fair. I wouldn't pay that, obviously, but other perfumers list their MSRP for 100ml at twice that.

If you're getting utterly bored with everything else, this is a great hard left turn. A very Chinese-appropriate, minimalist, sit on a woven mat and drink green tea type-of-scent. Grassy, ginger-y, celery-heavy, tea-heavy, dry enough to make you cough, duststorm type of scent.

Extra points for uniqueness.

One rarely knows what happiness is, but one usually knows what happiness was. Françoise Sagan
The memory of the truly first good Lacoste from 2003, L`homme, inevitably comes to mind here. Many Lacoste flankers have hit the market since that long time ago, and none have been convincing. Until now, with this Timeless, which is pleasantly fresh at the start. The rhubarb is easily recognizable and is absolutely successful. Few fragrances have such a fresh effect as this Lacoste.
The dissatisfaction with the Lacoste line is hereby ended.
If Coty manages to continue this line in this style, success can return.
Unfortunately, the efforts have been more focused on Balenciaga or Bottega Veneta, and Lacoste has been completely neglected as a brand. Perhaps this successful all-rounder will lead in a new direction.
The longevity is not quite at 5 hours, which is a bit short, as it starts off very strong and ends with something vanillic like L`homme. The cedar note becomes quite prominent towards the end.
For this price, it is a decent performance that exceeds expectations.

Fruity/Aromatic/Long-lasting
Hello everyone :)

I discovered TIMELESS two weeks ago at my trusted DIAMANT perfumery and was absolutely thrilled!

First, the fruity fresh rhubarb comes to the forefront and then fades into a ginger veil, GENIUS! (and that's saying something since I'm not really a fan of ginger).

The longevity on my skin lasts a solid 5 hours, which I find very good for an EDT. If I had to categorize it for which season it could be used, I would lean more towards winter.

Thank you for reading :)

Rhubarb for the third time, but here it's not so pronounced & rather overshadowed by cedar. Not bad, but definitely not a "timeless scent."

Chewing on a rhubarb stalk, I sit in the garden under a cedar. The sun warms, the birds sing, and the flowers smell lovely in the breeze.

No Golden Set / but scores with a fresh-spicy start / Chip & Charge is both woody-aromatic / Lucky Loser with a noble drive. =)

The fluctuation at Lacoste is rising. Irrelevant, new representative from the line. Penetration in the nose, intentionally set to Vol. Up.

At least the name sounds kind of mega-boring... Will the scent make up for it? The last ones were pretty bland...

Sweet-synthetic-herbaceous-fresh with a typical Lacoste vibe. Too boring for me.

The best flanker in my opinion. A pleasant scent with a distinctly woody note. Truly a timeless fragrance. Good longevity, perfect for everyday wear.

Instead of Timeless, more like purposeless... testing this unnecessary, spicy, fruity-fresh scent... L'Homme was still okay - very mediocre!

Bergamot, rhubarb, and amber. Let's see how this develops. The experience with these top notes suggests a gentle breeze.
