Herb-Fresh Mispurchase
I purchased this fragrance as a blind buy based on the very positive review in Sonjoschka's comment. Even through online shopping, it doesn't cost much, and until then, I hadn't had any bad experiences with blind buys, so I thought, why not, let's go for it.
I expected, as mentioned due to the comment, a soft, sweet scent with vanilla / heliotrope, which I absolutely love.
But:
Already at the first sniff from the bottle, my nose recoils in irritation:
What is this harsh smell that hits me?
I don't dare to test it directly on my skin... what if it actually smells like it does at the spray opening, and then I can't get rid of it?
So I spray it on a towel first.
Good decision!
Because what is now pounding in my brain from the towel has absolutely nothing to do with vanilla!
It is a somewhat floral, but mainly sharp, very, very harsh and spicy scent, almost more masculine, and is associated with something that overall, I can't describe it any other way, feels very old-fashioned / outdated. However, not in a positively old-fashioned way, but unfortunately in an unsympathetic-repulsive way. Sorry, I can't name it any other way; that's how it affects me.
I'm feeling a bit queasy... I really didn't expect that.
I bravely spray again, this time into the air, maybe it was just the towel...
But again, this herb-bitter floral stench associated with past times that are better left in the past!
Argh.

No, this is really not for me.
What I must give it credit for: It doesn't smell cheap, and the bottle looks beautiful with its matte, soft pink glass and the subtle, elegantly made print.
The bottle doesn't have a removable cap; instead, the sprayer looks like a cap but is firmly attached to the bottle, which I find quite practical.
Unfortunately, I can't assess the sillage and longevity on the skin; please forgive me for not testing that.
Maybe this perfume is something for people who prefer classic scents. If anyone is interested, I still have a nearly full bottle to give away, except for two sprays... :)
