Sweet vanilla with a spritz of bitter citrus that quickly turns syrupy. Artificial raspberry/cherry/strawberry-ish. Sickly-sweet.

Sweet vanilla and fruit candy, those Cherry Merry Muffin scented dolls. I am sure it's for *someone*, but not for me ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Reminds initially of vanilla caramel with a slightly alcoholic syrup filling. Later, quite interesting tart note joins.

Reminds me of the violet shaped candies old women used to keep in their purse. Sweet and medicinal vanilla with a lot of creamy myrrh.

falling in love with vanilla again
Vanitas is a gourmand delight and an olfactory antidepressant. The vanilla smells rich and decadent, with a citric sweetness from the orange blossom and some smokiness loaned by the myrrh. Vanitas would be the centre of attention not because of a unique personality but for being as delectable as a caloric-infested, caramelized sugar bundt cake and as sweet and charming as Snow White circa 1937 (especially the part where she sings Someday My Prince Will Come and the animals are dancing around her, every living creature as high as a kite). Sillage is soft but the longevity of this is ridiculously tenacious, no fear of it ever disappearing unless soap is applied with a strong arm. On the "interesting" scale, this lies at the polar opposite to Mona di Orio's Vanille, with Lutens' Un Bois Vanille in the middle of the scale and Tihota in Vanitas' camp. Vanitas would satisfy cravings for sweets whereas Mona's Vanille would enter a debate with you regarding the same.

Cakey
My foray into this brand has met with some success: Vanitas is a satisfying cake. The opening is a bit medicinal. I can notice the citrus but not the myrrh unless that stinging medicinal note is that!

The sweet vanilla is just robust enough but it does not smell like vanilla pods but more like the whole baked cake covered in icing. Reminds me somewhat of the more sophisticated Note Vanillee. Vanitas is for yourself, when you want to smell like cake and eat it too.

Vanilla Sky
Most favorite fragrance, like my favorite dress: bright, joyful and beautiful. This is the most "complementary" fragrance I've had. Longevity is incredible, you need just a small drop of it, and you can feel the fragrance the whole day.

The vanilla -Queen! No so sweet but so seductive. Spiced with myrrh, which makes it sound serious and pompous. This is not vanilla cake. It is a strict, deep, balsamic aroma of vanilla pods, which is impossible to overbreathe!

My holy grail cotton-candy vanilla
If I have to pick one *simple* vanilla to wear for the rest of my days, it would absolutely be this one. In my opinion, Profumum Roma has really mastered the art of “simple beasts” and this is definitely one of them.

Vanitas is a linear vanilla with superb sillage and longevity. A little bit goes a VERY long way, and because of its more oily formula, it really has a way of sticking itself onto your skin and clothes. The myrrh give the vanilla a slight resinous edge, giving the fragrance a cooked sugar/cotton candy vibe. The orange blossom is there in a trace amount, giving the scent a gentle brightness. It’s so effortlessly beautiful and can be worn in all seasons without being annoying/cloying as vanillas and sweets can usually be in the warmer temperatures. Vanitas is also wonderful for layering and when you want to add some sweetness to another fragrance.

Yes, it’s quite pricey, but for a 100 ml bottle of perfection, I think it’s worth every penny it costs. This will always be a staple in my collection. 100/10 for meeee!

Fruit Punch and vanilla?
Supersweet, juicy, candy like.
These are the words that jump out at first.
Smells like a syrupy fruit punch, and almost boozy too, I'm not sure.
The fruits I'm thinking of is like, cherry, grape, strawberry or something like that, but completely mushed together and not distinguishable from each other, sort of like I said, a fruit punch.
I guess I also sort of smell some candied citrus or even oranges.
I've never smelled anything like this before though, super unique.
I'm baffled by the fact tha it doesn't smell anything like the notes listed though, and I don't get any myrrh, which I don't mind.

I can also almost picture a sweet fruity tea, with lots of sugar and maybe some vanilla extract in it?
Not that it smells like tea, but it does remind me of a cup sugary tea, and maybe some sweet purple candies on the side? Smells like purple candy?

Anyways, it's delicious!
