Summer comes to Springville Hill

Origins Ginger Essence is like waking up on the first day of summer vacation and launching yourself out of bed with a whoop and a holler into the magnificence of a beautiful cloudless day, a sky so blue you feel you're staring eternity in the eye, and eternity is having a pretty great day, too. The first day of knowing you've got two and a half months ahead of you where you have obligations and no one is making any demands of your time. As adults, we probably haven't experienced that complete and utter and glorious freedom in a long time, and this bright, effervescent, zingy scent of spicy fresh-chopped ginger, and aromatic tangy citrus peels (and a nearby saucepan of simple syrup, just outside our peripheral vision) is as close as we might get to those storybook early summer holiday feels. See also all the lyrics from The Decemberists song June Hymn. "A panoply of song" is exactly how I'd describe this fragrance.

The Epitome of a Wellness Day....

As soon as I wear the fragrance - rather in autumn and winter - I feel fresh, clean, and rejuvenated as if after a day at the spa.
Probably, bergamot, lime, and lemon suggest to me the purity of the skin that one has after several sauna sessions and scrubs. The ginger provides a lasting warmth, not too spicy and gourmand, thankfully it doesn’t remind me of Christmas cookies here. No, pure warmth and physical lightness, just like the body feels warmed up and freed from all burdens after a wellness day.

When I wear this fragrance, it’s like a mini wellness day. The physical and emotional burdens are lighter for a few hours.
It has a similar effect on various people, both professionally and privately, around me. Of course, it can only do this because it also has excellent longevity and sillage, at least on me.

This fragrance has accompanied me for many years, and not just because I hold it in high regard. It also has a high recognition value, meaning there is no comparably fresh ginger scent. Believe me, I have searched for a long time and never found one.

A Must for Ginger Lovers

This fragrance is one of my "treasures." I really like ginger, and this scent embodies everything that ginger means to me: the spicy, slightly sharp aroma as well as the bright, fresh scent when you smell a freshly cut ginger root. With the addition of citrus notes, this fragrance is an ideal companion for warm days. It's just a pity that the longevity isn't very great - after two, at most three hours, I would need to reapply.

fresh and warm

This is another "feel-good scent" from Origins. Fresh, cool, and full of energy, it still develops a certain warmth without smelling sweet. However, I find Ginger Essence Intensified-Ginger Concentrate (the one with the white writing on the bottle) to be a bit fresher and it lasts longer than the original scent Ginger Essence - Ginger Extract. The fragrance can be worn every day, even in summer. However, I prefer it on rainy days, as it chases away gloomy thoughts....
