Layton Parfums de Marly 2016

The fragrance opens fruity-sweet. On the surface a green apple wrapped in a floral-powdery sweet. The opening reminds me a bit of BossBottled or JaguarGold, mainly because of the apple note, but still a very successful opening. The only thing that bothers me about the apple is that it smells like an incompletely reacted ester. If you have lab experience, you know exactly what I mean. It's hard to describe. Well, what can I say, it wouldn't be so bad, but I don't get olfactory fatigue from Layton, which is why I smell this ester over 3h and that makes me get a light headache.
The drydown is really very nice. Sweet-spicy woody. I don't think that's all you need to say. Really excellent.

Performance:
- Shelf life 9/10: I applied the fragrance at 9am and it lasted until 6:30pm. Until approx. 14 o'clock I could still perceive the smell very well myself. I don't know if he lasted long after that. How do I get to 18:30 o'clock you probably ask yourselves xD At 18:30 o'clock I had Feierabend and I said goodbye to a few colleagues and got 2 compliments for the fragrance.

- Projection 9/10: Beastmode is all I'm saying. I applied 4 splashes and that was probably too much of a good thing. 9 o'clock I was told and as soon as I got on the bus I noticed that some of them were turning in my direction. Very strange feeling when half the bus looks at you at once. Then I thought to myself: Ohhh boy next time I'll put less of it on. 10 o'clock Arrived at work I walk past the office of my boss and say hello and get a compliment for my fragrance. For info I am standing in the door and her desk is about 2m away. Steer to my workplace to turn a colleague says: "Age have you been sucking in perfume or what? I'm like, "Uhh, does that smell so bad? He: No smells very good but it knocks you out.
Embarrassed, I sit at my table and my colleague opposite says: Please come here. I did it said. She takes a deep breath through her nose and says: "I knew that the great smell came from you, what's the name of the perfume?
Another colleague noticed how you were sniffing at me and came running right up to smell me.
At the end of the working day as written above I said goodbye to the staff and got two more compliments.

- Conclusion:
The first time worn and five compliments received and normally I get very few. I noticed four splashes are a little too much of a good thing I felt half West Germany smelled me with the haze I pulled behind me.
Rating for the fragrance: 9/10. Actually I would give Layton the full score but I smell this ester for a very long time and that bothers me
