The best coffee perfume
This is the exact coffee perfume I was looking for. The others are just too bitter, too floral(rose, lavender), too much liquor. This is creamy coffee that smells delicious without smelling sticky or burnt or too literal. Perfect balance of coffee and fragrance. The rice notes were a genius touch.

white nights
My girlfriend zooms off to her favorite city, St. Petersburg, whenever she has the time.

She would love to have me as her companion, but I dread the long flight - curled up in my seat, the back of the person in front of me on my knees.
But when she shows me photos of the legendary "White Nights," I am so fascinated that I start to waver.

Bright nights under a spectacular sky - along with many people strolling up and down the elegant boulevards.
No one seems to be sleeping - everything is awake and alive.
And then there’s this mysterious, diffuse light.
I would stroll along the river with her, chatting, and then sip a glass of Crimean sparkling wine in a bistro.

Nuit Blanche would fit perfectly into this "twilight" somewhat surreal atmosphere.
It is soft like the light, calm and relaxed like the flâneurs on the streets - awake, yet leaning towards dreams.
There is also something comforting about it - just as it always calms me to know that I am not alone in my sleeplessness.
The coziness that emanates from the fragrance makes me pleasantly drowsy, and I look forward to my bed - and to a beautiful dream.

For the dream is a piece of life.

Sleepless Nights
Oh… sleepless night. I could sing a song about it. No, I could record a whole album about sleepless nights…

La la li la la do re mi *sing*

Okay, don't worry, I'm not going to start singing now; in fact, I don't think anyone has ever heard me sing (at least I hope so, since I can get a bit loud in the shower… so singing!! Not what you think… arrgh). But you can probably guess that I belong to the group of people who also suffer from sleep disorders and hope to fall asleep before 2 AM at some point. And even if it gets later, I'm usually awake again by 7 or 8 AM, even on weekends. Well, not always, but it happens sometimes…
*yawn*

Since we're talking about sleepless nights: That's also the name of the latest fragrance from the Black Opium line, for which I received a free sample from YSL (thanks to everyone here who pointed out the promotion in the forum!). I have already tested the regular EDP of Black Opium and found it okay, but already from the heart note, it felt rather weak.
I hope this fragrance does much better…

The fragrance:
As with Black Opium EDP, you can also perceive orange blossoms at the beginning here. However, this time not together with the coffee, but rather with sweet notes that smell like jasmine, which is not indicated in the fragrance pyramid. In the background, there is a slightly spicy, but not piercing pepper note. I'm not sure about the rice steam, partly because I don't really know what rice steam smells like.
In any case, you can soon smell the vanilla, which gives the fragrance, as always with vanilla scents, a gentle note and, together with the sweet note, makes it appear slightly powdery.
The coffee note also slowly comes through, but it is not as intense as in the regular Black Opium and remains more in the background. In fact, the coffee seems to disappear again soon, so the fragrance mainly stays sweet. The musk adds another sweet note to the fragrance and makes it appear a bit more elegant. The fragrance is rather less woody.

The sillage and longevity:
The sillage starts off similarly to the EDP. Quite strong and also filling the room. But unlike the EDP, the fragrance radiates significantly stronger later on and is therefore even better to smell, which I find good.
The longevity is comparable to the EDP of Black Opium and lasts about eight hours. Well, maybe a tick less.

The bottle:
The bottle is a slightly color-modified version of Black Opium. It seems that the bottle is more reddish (but I don't know if it is transparent; I only know the bottle from photos so far). The "glitter effects" also seem to be a bit brighter and more intense. As always, there is the large porthole giving a glimpse of the fragrance liquid. The neck and the hemispherical cap are light pink and shiny. A very successful bottle.

Black Opium Nuit Blanche is truly a great upgrade of the original Opium and smells really good. It is a bit more long-lasting and, above all, a bit stronger, making it great to smell on someone.
Moreover, the name this time fits the fragrance better. With its sweet notes and generally pleasant scent, it is perfect as an evening and party fragrance, as it simply must appear sexy on a lady. You know, blah blah delicious, blah blah especially attractive, blah blah *sigh*

This is also one of the main differences from the other fragrance. Nuit Blanche has a barely noticeable coffee note, but shines with its beautifully sweet scent. Therefore, definitely worth a test.

If I were a woman, this fragrance would surely be made for me, because of my sleepless nights. To everyone else, I wish a good night :D

A Whiff of Nothing
As a big fan of Black Opium, I bought nuit blanche without testing it first. Upon the first spray, I was still excited; it smells a bit more harmonious to me than the original. I was looking forward to a lovely winter day with a great perfume, but before I could even leave the house, nuit blanche let me down; the scent completely vanished, so I sprayed myself again - the same result. What a shame, I’d rather stick with the original.

More like an EdT
Since I really like the original Black Opium EdP, I had to test this one. It was convenient that I received a sample.

I indulged myself during the testing with a full dose of five sprays... but where is the scent???

This is exactly how I imagine an EdT - like the EdP, just much weaker. I don’t understand why so many perfumes have completely different lists of notes for the EdT and smell entirely different? I always thought it was supposed to be like the EdParfum, just weaker.

That is exactly what Black Opium Nuit Blanche is for me. I find it smells like BO EdP, but simply much weaker in every aspect.
What a shame for the beautiful, expressive coffee scent. What a shame for the lovely vanilla. What a shame for the beautiful fragrance!
What a waste of money!

The scent shows up very weakly on my skin despite the five sprays.
Even in direct comparison of all three on the paper strip, this one is the weakest of all.

Not necessary. Unless you really like the scent but want to consciously have only a weak dosage.

In my opinion, this is the "real" EdT.

A subtle and sweet aroma of coffee with milk enhanced with gentle spices... very mild but unfortunately does not linger.

Coffee coffee coffee. I don't get the rice or the floral notes but my bottle is about 10 years old so that's maybe not fair.

Not as loud or as sweet as the OG Black Opium. This flanker didn't stick around long but it's not special enough to stand out on its own.

Give the flanker a chance! Relaxed, cozy, vanilla, and balanced gourmand. I like it better than the original...

Rice steam, oh really. The next one will probably be pasta water. Everything sounds so uninspired.

Everything with Nuit/Noir or Night has a magical pull on me, especially if it has Opium in the name - sweet/gourmand, simply breathtakingly beautiful..

Maybe not spectacular, but I find it beautiful. Winter warm, comforting. I'm in love. Great longevity.

Smells like someone poured a splash of Kenzo Amour into Black Opium. It's vanilla-y but not overwhelmingly sweet.

Surprisingly pleasant: soft and warm, and even after a long time, it’s not overwhelming. This "White Night" almost makes me a fan of Opium.

Sweet orange blossom, vanilla, and later coffee make it a beautiful, sensual & sweet gourmand. Perfect for hot nights.
