Under the Mysore tree, a small deer is looking at the lady with lavender

The little deer is clean, bathed. He ate a small slice of lemon.
He stands still, he is not wild. He stands by a large Mysore tree, next to a lavender-scented lady with a butter iris in her hand. At the end, everyone leaves.
Everyone in their own direction. But the Mysore tree will remain in place.
Nice perfume in extract version, projection is medium. It's not beast mode. The bottle is beautiful. The limited quantity raised its price.

Smooth and easy to wear fragrance with good quality, vintage ingredients

Very pleasant to wear and comfortable fragrance. Personally, I don't detect a retro vibe in it, as some people write in their reviews, despite Adam's use of vintage ingredients. There is indeed a bit of citrus and lavender in the introduction, but nothing here comes to the forefront. The whole thing is very smooth and pleasant. The musk has no animal character. Iris is also the important ingredient in this composition. ,,Musk Lave'' is a very safe fragrance. I noticed many similarities to ,,Al Majmua”. If one owns ,,Al Majmua'', I don't see the point of looking for ,,Musk Lave''. ,,Al Majmua'' is still available, on top of that the price is incomparably lower. Of course, these are not identical fragrances, and it is clear that one can have both in a collection. However, the overall character of the fragrances is very similar in my opinion.

Musky, spicy sandalwood fougère

Musk Lave has one of the best real sandalwood finishes I have smelled outside of attar and mukhallat perfumery. For fans of real sandalwood, the real treasure lies here, and not in Santal Galore. But be aware that this is the type of musky, spicy, masculine-leaning sandalwood that used to feature in high quality ‘barbershop’ fougères before Indian sandalwood became generally unavailable to commercial perfumery in the late eighties, and before entire carpets of beige, sweetish tonka bean were conscripted to fill the gap.

In other words, though it certainly smells rich and incensey, like all good sandalwood should, this sandalwood is the handsome, rugged version that smells more like good wood and bay rum spices than a creamy dessert that will send you into a stupor. The invigorating sparkle of the sandalwood is beefed up by a nice lump of labdanum, so you get the full balance of aromatic-dry and sweet-incensey that the very best examples of sandalwood possess, e.g., the Mysore 1984 by Ensar Oud, which, because it is aged, has developed that rich, incensey sonic boom ‘loudness of voice’ that would be most unusual for a pure sandalwood more freshly distilled.

Winding back to the start, Musk Lave opens with a fresh, powdery lemon and lavender accord, which would be a naturally lean kind of thing were it not for the immediate upswell of an unctuously buttery musk or tonka that adds richness, like a pat of yellow Irish butter melted over a salad. Think Jicky but with real sandalwood and musk dialled in for that naughty ‘skin musk’ feel, writing over the rather sharp, sometimes foul-smelling synthetic civet of the Guerlain. Given that Jicky is my favorite fragrance in the world, hopefully you’ll take my word for it that Musk Lave is the upgrade nobody knew was in the wings but immediately presses the install button on.

Classic chypre

Een mooie klassieke geur. Gemaakt door een hele goede neus. Als je van lavendel houdt ga je deze geur super lekker vinden. Het is old skool Franse parfumerie in een nieuw jasje. Goed gemixt en sterk. Maar niet zo sterk dat anderen last van je hebben. Een mooie geur om in je collectie te hebben. Helaas heb ik de mijne verkocht.

Association: "dirty fizzy powder"

I have been looking forward to the new collection from Areej le Doré for a long time... Once the preorder was completed (which was not so easy, as the site kept collapsing) and I had survived the waiting period, it was finally time for me to add the new collection to my collection...

I was so curious about how Musk Lave would smell... Lavender in fragrances is not always easy for my nose, but let's see...

A good spray on my arm and here we go:

WOW, a hefty dose of bergamot - fresh, zesty, intense, and absolutely wonderful in the top note...
Alongside it comes an surprisingly soft lavender, bright, delicate violet, young, and also fresh - and a bit sweet too....
My association (note: not meant negatively): fizzy powder!!

My nose really compared it to fizzy powder, and there is indeed something to it for me.... --> yes, bring on your counterarguments ;-))

Later, the fragrance takes on a sweet and softly animalistic touch, which gains a bit of intensity over time... the deer musk lives up to its name and gives the fragrance a wonderful "dirtiness" - combined with a fine powdery iris note - the scent envelops you in a "dirty" powder, so to speak ;-)

Musk Lave lingers on my skin for quite some time, until a softly earthy and creamy-woody note comes in: the base is reached.... A fragrance that I find completely successful, which I have never smelled before... not everyday and for me an absolute unique piece with the unmistakable signature of Russian Adam....

The more I wear it, the less I want to be without it... for me, one of the best fragrances in my collection :-)
