a pale blue disappointment
The beautiful blue glass bottle first caught my attention, but then the fragrance pyramid.
The heart note alone inspired me when I read it (it is well known that I could sometimes do without iris a little) and the mention of the black currant in combination with bamboo sounds very tempting.
So I asked for a bottling from the "to go" folder of a very dear Parfumista and was already looking forward to the test.
But, oh, my! What is happening here?
White musk dominates so much: the top note with fresh lemon, bitter black currant and green-juicy bamboo is led by it on the short reins.
A short, cool rearing up of these components - the musk allows almost no fragrance gods next to it!
The peony I love so much, together with the no less courageous freesia, tries to gain a little space to at least play a little part in the fragrance concert.
But even the iris, which sometimes seems a little stinky, doesn't work against it.
The tender, almost shy magnolia immediately goes under; she does not dare to lift the beautiful white-pink head at all. There's not even a breath of her left!
"White musk above all, above all in the world!" one would like to sing here!
But not enough - I can hardly believe it: heavy creamy vanilla and the dark purple heliotrope with its strong vanilla scent are intimately connected to this musk warrior who is far too powerful for me.
I feel heavy, dense clouds of a musk vanilla melange wafting around me, which luckily I haven't met for a long time.
The timid attempt to give this incense a restraining touch by amberwood can't change anything about that!
Unfortunately for me it remains a huge musk club, which marches here with just as strong "backers" named Vanile and Heliotrop; who does not bend, will be overrun.
Fortunately, this rape of my senses is only of short duration; washing up doesn't help much - you have to be patient.
So this pretty blue bottle is for me a beautiful cover, which outshines the content by far.
However, I am sure that "Nudo Blue" will also find its lovers. Why not?
Musk is still high on the popularity scale of many women; only recently I was struck down by it again when I left a shop. That's pretty heavy at 32° outside!
It doesn't need much of this scent to kill the sitting or office neighbor a little bit
But it shows itself again: Everything is not for everyone!
And "Nudo Blue" is not for me!
What a shame! Such a beautiful bright blue ...
