I searched for it, but I couldn't find her

That car companies launch fragrances under their name, why not? If Paris Hilton does it, who has accomplished nothing in her life other than being a rich daughter and causing scandals? Why not brands that make the eyes sparkle, including mine. Mercedes has done it, Jaguar, I tried the first one around 2000 and found it good.
So, off to the perfume store to look for Porsche. Yes, the bottle is great - even if I have already encountered it in landscape format with "Rush"! The masculine, distinctive scent actually appeals to me; it is not a loud leather men's fragrance, but a good balance of pronounced masculine and softer notes. Woody-spicy, yes, I could even imagine it on my husband in the summer.
But: Something is strange. Porsche Design has released a men's fragrance. And another men's fragrance. And a third men's fragrance.
I searched for the female counterpart - in vain.
That there are also women who are interested in this brand does not even exist in this worldview. Can I just be satisfied with my admittedly beautiful
sink? I am bad, bad, bad!
Actually, I have always wanted to rent a Porsche for the weekend, chauffeur my husband as usual, and do something nice. Not that you couldn't do that with another car, and the ignition key on the left is somehow almost bordering on perversion... But I felt like it. Not needing to own it, but wanting to test it!
But I changed my mind: I will take a test drive at Jaguar - they think of the girls too....

Modern Industrial Scent

I'll try to describe the scent on its own and leave out the 7 letters P, O, R, S, C, H, and E. Because anyone who smells the fragrance won't really check what’s written on the bottle it once lived in before anyone pressed the sprayer and released the scent molecules. (Unless, of course, you casually tucked the bottle under your arm while taking the scent for a walk.)

Of course, you first check how the basic version of the scent smells when you dive into an intense version. Well, I have to say that the intense version picks up the basic version but then adjusts it.

The intense version has a darker timbre, which is actually quite cool. Casual seriousness should be the goal, in my opinion.
I must say that I find it quite versatile. It has, alongside its serious appearance, a certain freshness as well. However, it’s not a screaming lemon or anything of that sort, but well integrated into the overall composition. When I read here that bitter mandarin is included, it was like a light bulb went off for me. Combining freshness and seriousness in one scent, with a smallest common denominator, I find pretty cool. It doesn’t come off as scratchy to my nose either. I find it quite difficult to suggest an age recommendation, but I’d say from around 60, it doesn’t really come across as fitting anymore. Overall, however, the scent does come off as quite synthetic, so it has a somewhat modern - constructed feel to it.

I also think it reminds me a bit of BOSS ORANGE. This incense-orange (although orange isn’t listed and orange in the name only refers to the line) somehow comes back to me in the bitter mandarin. Cosmopolitan had pointed out in their comment the "winter spices" that can really be smelled there. Well, maybe here in the Essence Intense, it’s the cinnamon that reminds one of the festive BOSS creation. The cinnamon might not be as brilliantly integrated as the rest of the composition. At the end of the scent's progression, there’s a rather abrupt cut, and the cinnamon hovers over an undifferentiated steaming freshness. The freshness is okay, a transformation of the scent from before, but the cinnamon is rather uninvolved. Like two sauces on a plate that just touch each other but will never flow into one another. (I think that’s called lipophilic and lipophobic in chemistry.)

The longevity is really not to be underestimated. On my skin, I could still smell it after 6 hours... after that, I was only approached about it.

The bottle, on the other hand, I find brutally terrible. I mean, it’s almost not presentable and totally plastic... like really flimsy junk plastic, that’s how it feels to me... but whatever, I don’t want to tuck the bottle under my arm when I take the scent for a walk.

Overbearing Macho

If I were to imagine the typical wearer of this perfume, he would look like this: mid-forties, tanned, the top three shirt buttons undone, shirt sleeves slightly rolled up, gold chain, gold wristwatch, a (young) blonde in the passenger seat of a sports car.

Sorry for these terrible clichés, but that's actually what went through my mind when I smelled this fragrance for the first time.

The perfume is spicy, sweet - and loud. And sticky. I applied it last night and this morning I can still smell it clearly. Only for people who want to stand out. The only question is whether one stands out positively...

Real Porsche

Essence Intense is clearly better than the blue Essence. The scent feels very harmonious. I can smell pine complemented by juniper berry, vetiver, and myrtle. The patchouli also contributes here. EI contains an interesting and unusual fragrance combination. Amber adds a touch of tenderness to this rather robust perfume. I can well imagine that I will get this one.

What a shame, why only?

To me, it smells like a synthetically mixed little water.
Now just a bit more intense than the previous creation.

In addition, a cheap plastic bottle - like the predecessor - that is not worthy of a quality name.
