The Love of Jasmine and Vanilla
Quintesscent is a relatively new brand that caught my attention when I discovered the Perfume Bays Collection by Boadicea for myself. Since there wasn't much information available online, I simply asked Perfume Bays directly, who have listed the 5 fragrances as Exclusive. As always, a very friendly and open exchange took place. I learned that this fragrance brand is indeed intended to be its own exclusive collection and was developed as such.
As part of the collaboration for the Perfume Bays Collection, the Quintesscent fragrances of the five elements were created by the perfumers of Boadicea. The use of noble and as high-quality ingredients as possible was just as important as skin compatibility and, above all, animal-friendly perfumery.
Terra is a flattering, warm, and almost cuddly scent. It is dominated by jasmine, iris, and vanilla, without being too sweet. Yes, it is a gourmand fragrance. However, it also brings in slightly smoky aspects that suit the vanilla very well. In my perception, it is more creamy, light violet, than brown-black, like the earth. It has a nice, light fruitiness that shines through from time to time. It is precisely these citrusy, fruity accords that bring a light ethereality to the scent, making it almost float like a veil on the skin.
It really fits wonderfully on men's skin as well, and for me, it has that slightly smoky note I mentioned, which is truly beautiful. Just one spray is sufficient. Personally, I cannot recommend more than three, as the scent is very noticeable and might become a bit much for the office.
By the way, Quintesscent itself points out the very good performance of their fragrances and advises a sensitive approach to the spray button.
For me: A truly beautiful and interesting brand that is not only exciting for Boadicea fans.
