The Fire And The Shadow
The second element of my quintessence tests is Ignis, the fire.
Over non-sacral incense, nuances of myrrh and dry wood chords, a smell is created that I would associate with embers and fire. This embers are the basis on which the vetiver now spreads its spice, but also slightly green freshness. In addition, there are the bitter, floral sounds of the violet. Non of the accords exaggerates, but everything vibrates in the harmony of the twitching of the name-giving fire. At no time, however, is the fragrance hot or too dense, it floats like a flame. And captures a few petals and a few warming, resinous chords of the cistus. To burn them. I especially like the earthy chords of the patchouli, which integrate wonderfully and symbolize for me the shadow the fire casts .
