a decent homage to festivity
Since the brand Rasei Fort was collaborating with was easily accessible on my end, I decided to see what this was about. I'm not really one for floral/fruity scents, so the thought of getting a full bottle didn't cross my mind, but I did ask to smell it just to fulfill my curiosity. This was supposed to be themed after the celebrations and feasts surrounding Chinese New Year, and in a way he did nail down some aspects of it: in particular the abundance of candied fruits. This opens with a clear sweet apple and opens up to an equally sweet honey and fruit notes- but later on it turns into rose and a not quite successful homage to osmanthus (it's more like osmanthus honey) that is accompanied by cinnamon and other floral/woody scents. Not a bad try overall.
