The Perfect Deception
As soon as I applied the fragrance at work, the first reactions came - "This is from Chanel," my two colleagues exclaimed. Since we had already been discussing fragrances for a few days, I brought them some samples that cost significantly less but are inspired by certain perfumes. Both were completely convinced that it was Coco Mademoiselle and immediately fell into my arms, practically begging to be scented. Miro Magic is indeed quite reminiscent of the beloved, rosy Coco - but the perfect deception crumbles for me quite quickly. Of course, Miro doesn't have such good longevity, and the fragrance clearly lacks some sillage, but for a small budget, the scent is really not bad, and I must admit that it shows itself to be quite pleasant. Since my colleagues would never spend a lot on fragrances (though they still say that), they were grateful that I showed them some options. They had no clue about Miro. I knew even less before Parfumo.

So, let's get to the scent. Miro Magic starts off very subdued but has a somewhat off-putting hairspray note that comes across as rather flat. From the very first contact with the skin, one immediately knows (even a layperson) what this perfume is supposed to remind them of. A pale citrus note hits my senses, faintly reminiscent of a few sunbeams stretching over a sea of jasmine and rose. It becomes quite fresh in just a few moments. The musk is also quickly present - one powdery cloud chases the next. The film in my head plays - radiant blue sky, white robes, and innocent girls running barefoot over fresh grass.

Everything, but really everything in this fragrance feels very subtle and clearly restrained. The rose seems very young, and I would recommend this scent more for young ladies, as it clearly lacks the depth for significantly older ones. The fragrance never becomes deep and plump. It is only subtle, has a slight rosy shimmer, and feels very youthful and virginal. A light carefreeness and naivety - I still see that in my mind when I inhale the scent. There’s nothing edgy - nothing cheeky. One is simply well-behaved and nice. Personally, that feels a bit too little for me, but for some, that is good enough. Nevertheless, everything is well blended, and the scent truly harmonizes, but after an hour, it starts to bore me. The freshness becomes dull, and the flowers annoy me, as they do not come across as high-quality at all. For the price, however, it’s still okay. I wouldn’t want to wear it, as it simply isn’t my style. As for my colleagues - they were raving about it for half the day and couldn’t believe that such a fragrance, in this price range, could smell "so good" and so similar to a classic. They shrugged off the fact that it lasts significantly shorter. "Then you just spray a bit more," they said. They are right about that.

For me, as a perfumista, the difference is indeed, let’s say - quite significant - because this fragrance lacks the black mesh and the timeless elegance is somehow absent. I am not a fan of Coco M., but Chanel has certainly done a much better job than Miro. However, for this price, I really can’t complain too much.

For some, Miro Magic is a perfect deception, and I will continue to keep this in mind for my dear colleagues. Nevertheless, I filled them some Chanel, and we decided that after a week, they would comment on how different they actually are when compared directly - depth and sillage, the pale pink exchanged for a beautiful pastel nude pink that is not wrapped in virginal sheets but rather flaunts feminine, elegant traits. I am curious!

Something Nice for Little Money, Even with Little Synthetics!
Hey folks, greetings to you! Today, let's talk about one of those fragrances that the whole world knows, but only a few have probably really tried, right? I mean, it’s often the case that especially as "advanced" perfume lovers who have surely come across some niche fragrances, we tend to ignore these very cheap perfumes (especially the drugstore scents) because we simply don’t expect anything good. Often our gut feeling is right, but sometimes we can be surprised by such inexpensive fragrances.

Like with today’s scent. Today we’re talking about Miro Magic by Miro, which you can get 50 ml of for under 10 euros. That sounds pretty good price-wise, and if the scent is pleasant, even better. Many people think that this fragrance even has similarities to Coco Mademoiselle or Miss Dior. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to confirm that right away, as I don’t have those scents 100% in my mind, but if I find this fragrance "delicious," you’ll surely notice from my silly reactions that this scent is somehow great :D

Alright, the fragrance is good, to say it upfront, even though I didn’t really like it very much, but you’ll find out why soon! So let’s start sniffing!

The Scent:
At the beginning, I smell a light, floral sweetness and I’m guessing jasmine and roses here. The oranges give it a citrus-fresh kick. There’s also a herbal note that initially seems like coriander, but then becomes a bit darker and earthier, so it must be the patchouli that slowly starts to take effect and soon becomes more noticeable.
You can also soon smell the ylang-ylang, but these flowers are still in the background, so the scent in the middle part doesn’t come off as heavy or sultry yet. The sweetness of the fragrance also increases a bit more and it becomes more powdery, all thanks to the vanilla.
The later base is actually completely different. The light floral notes and sweet scents are mostly gone (as are all the citrus notes). Instead, the ylang-ylang comes into play, which radiates more intensely than all the other fragrance notes and is therefore the easiest to smell. Personally, I like this less and less, as I don’t like the scent of ylang-ylang at all, and it comes off quite sultry and heavy to me, just like here in the base. But if you don’t mind ylang-ylang, then you have a good base that doesn’t even smell really synthetic.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is moderate to weak, so you have to be close to someone to smell the fragrance. As for longevity, one might initially think that the scent could disappear in three to four hours. But then the ylang-ylang appears and extends the longevity of the fragrance by more than double. So you’ll easily be able to smell the scent on your skin for at least ten hours.

The Bottle:
It seems there are two bottles here, one being a wavy, rounded bottle with an oval/eye-shaped cap that looks quite nice, and a tall, somewhat angular-looking bottle (like the one in the Parfumo picture). The rounded one looks more interesting to me; otherwise, both bottles are quite okay.

Okay, so I didn’t find the scent bad at all. It reminded me a bit less of Coco Mademoiselle, and I’m not so sure about Miss Dior either, but it does have that deliciously sweet aura that all these scents have in common. At least at the beginning and in the middle part.

I was surprised that the scent doesn’t seem as synthetic as one might think at that price. Sure, there are synthetics present, but they come off just like with fragrances or brands from Gaultier, Diesel, etc. (so in the typical mainstream area) and are therefore quite acceptable; I would even say that some of the other brands sometimes have a much worse synthetic quality. Well…

Miro Magic is one of those fragrances that you don’t really need to look at, but you won’t make a mistake trying it (especially because of the low price), as it might actually please some of you quite well. In terms of scent, it’s like an all-rounder that you could use in any season, although I personally wouldn’t want to wear it in summer due to the somewhat sultry base. And this sultry base is also the reason why I ultimately didn’t really like the scent, but you know that about me. Everything that smells heavily sultry (like fragrance notes such as ylang-ylang) just overwhelms me too much, and I find absolutely nothing pleasant about the scent. As a result, this fragrance also comes off as quite mature, even if it starts off sweeter.

But as I said, it will surely please some. Even though I should ask myself every time how anyone can like fragrance notes like ylang-ylang. Or coriander. Or orchid. Or other stuffy floral notes. … you crazy people! :D But tastes are indeed different :)

Well, that’s it then. So until next time, and have a nice evening :)

My Wardrobe Keeper
Seen & bought. Actually blind. What can I say? Glitter in the bottle! Hey, folks, glitter! I mean really! How could I say "No!"? It was impossible.

Coco Mademoiselle? Is that how it should smell? I admit, I don't know the big sister well enough to confirm that for sure. If that is the case, then I probably won't become a big fan of Coco Mademoiselle.

Why? On my skin, "Magic" does come off as somewhat feminine and floral, no question, but with such a bitter undertone, and that already in the top note, that I can't imagine carrying this scent with me every day. It seems to me that it simply doesn't want to adapt to me. As if it wants to impose itself on me, to be constantly present in a way that I don't particularly like, and yet so superficial and impersonal. As if it wants to make me into something I'm not and don't want to be. So cool, so straightforward, so bitter. Just not delicate and feminine enough.

So it had to leave the collection after a long, long time.

Great Price-Performance Ratio
About seven years ago, my mother gifted me "Magic" as a shower gel, and I was instantly thrilled. I just had to have the perfume to go with it, so it moved in with me a few days later; luckily, it wasn't expensive and was also on sale. By now, I've noticed that "Magic" always seems to be on sale somewhere, and if not, you definitely won't have to wait long for it. At the moment, I'm using my fifth bottle, and I think that speaks for itself.
I find the price-performance ratio fantastic. In my opinion, you get a truly wonderful scent for little money that smells more expensive than it is.
I can't precisely identify the individual notes, except for rose and ylang-ylang. It is definitely a powdery, not sweet, not fruity, slightly floral, and somewhat austere scent that lasts a long time and is very economical. Personally, I recently heard that some people think this is a "Coco Mademoiselle" dupe, which I cannot confirm. There is some similarity, but I personally like "Magic" much better and think it smells almost just as luxurious. The bottle doesn't look that impressive, but somewhere you have to cut costs. As far as I'm concerned, they could also leave out the strange "fairy dust," which is completely unnecessary, but I don't find it bothersome. It probably had to be included in the bottle to create a connection to the perfume's name.
I can only highly recommend the perfume, and it will definitely stay in my collection for quite a while.

Fragrance Painting, Castle Moyland or My View of Art
I already mentioned with Miro Femme that art is not my thing and that I can manage with certain things like exhibitions, museums, and I am also a modern woman who is open to new experiences.
So I will describe my fragrant view of this art.

All fragrances from Miro have the same shape, the same amount of their scent, and each fragrance represents its own painting. My tested Miros look like this:

Miro Jeans: A fruit bowl or a colorful cocktail party somewhere in the Caribbean in bright and vivid colors like red, blue, orange, yellow... definitely very colorful.

Miro Femme: A drawing or sculpture by Joseph Beuys (* May 12, 1921 in Krefeld; † January 23, 1986 in Düsseldorf), a German action artist, sculptor, draftsman, art theorist, and professor at the Düsseldorf Art Academy), B. lived and worked for some time in our area Kleve, and our famous historical building Water Castle Moyland houses a very large collection of his works, and I can't make anything of his graphics, sculptures... and they are just as disturbing as the scent of Miro Femme.

Miro Magic, on the other hand, represents a completely different side of the art world:
a floral painting, painted with delicate and warm colors - salmon, orange, yellow, rose... exhibited in the beautiful historical castle. The unknown artist definitely chose warm and delicate colors for his flowers. I cannot recognize which flowers he painted exactly, and they are listed as floral notes in the fragrance description above.
The artist may have stood with his easel in the castle park, feeling the light floral breeze around him and being inspired by the romantic backdrop of the castle, as well as the sculpture park with its soft and rounded forms. Many couples from near and far love to get married in the castle and then stand in front of the impressive portal (in the sense of eye-catching, elegant, glamorous...) that is adorned at the staircase with heavy animal figures (the pug reminds one of Sir Winston Churchill, who visited the castle during World War II as part of Operation Plunder).
I quite like the floral, slightly oriental, and beautiful fragrance painting, and it doesn’t need to be reapplied during the day.

Miro Magic is a high-quality beautiful fragrance for little money!

A beautiful, cheerful scent. Very likable and pleasant. I didn't know at first that it copies Coco Mademoiselle. I just thought it was great.

Oh, it's really nice, pink-girly, lightly fresh, watery-floral with a subtle citrus note. A lovely scent for summer.

The scent twins are spot on, for me more Chanel than Dior. Not as weak as claimed. Very good value for money!

Thanks for the tip about the little Coco M. cousin. Really amazing and long-lasting, if only it didn't have the glitter.

Could be quite nice, soft roses & jasmine with citrus and cuddly vanilla, but patchouli makes it scratchy, too harsh and discordant...

From a sharp perfume note to floral-soft, but it feels synthetic.
