Garden of Orchids
Rouge Bunny Rouge is another English brand which presents high-quality fragrances inspired by the world of botanics. "Chatoyant" features the beautiful orchid, introduced by fresh lemons, bergamot and coconut-like topnotes. Jasmine, lily of the valley and rose combine with the dominant orchid which is embedded with sandalwood, cedarwood vanilla and musk. The result is a flowery and romantic perfume, a trifle too sentimental for me, but nevertheless quite charming. In structure it is not unlike the beautiful "Orchidée & Vanille" by van Cleef&Arpels, but younger and a bit more innocent. All in all, it's a lovely scent, a perfume definitely of the garden and not of the hothouse.

Fresh, Green, Fickle
I received a sample of this fragrance from Hasi with a request for a comment. And I have successfully avoided it until now. Somehow, I haven't been able to get a grip on it, despite various tests. But how do you describe and evaluate a fragrance that develops differently every time? At one point, I even suspected that the manufacturer’s sample had gone bad. But it hasn’t; it’s just that the opening develops quite peculiarly on me.

Lemon and bergamot sound harmless and suggest a summery scent. Not at all. On me, the fragrance develops a rather peculiar green leaf note, not unpleasant, but also not fresh enough that I would want to wear it in the summer at first. The first impression is misleading, and after a while, I could definitely see myself wearing it on a warm summer day. It quickly becomes floral, with the orchid standing out the most for me, along with the rose, which takes over the scepter after a short time. It’s not a green-fresh rose, but a rich, dark absolute. The scent remains like this for quite a long time; the absolute gains a bit of depth, and the orchid has already said goodbye some time ago. I don’t recognize jasmine and lily of the valley, but I do sense a connection to "Secrets d'Essences - Rose Absolue" by Yves Rocher.

One thing must be said about the fragrance: the heart note has quite a bit of endurance without changing much. Overall, the fragrance lasts excellently on me: 7-8 hours are possible. The base is primarily woody on me. Sandalwood integrates beautifully into the fading rose absolute, and a bit of balsamic cedar also fits wonderfully. I don’t perceive musk and vanilla; I would rather attribute a slightly vanillic hint to the velvety rose absolute, but it’s possible that I’m mistaken and it’s the vanilla indicated in the base. I don’t want to commit to that 100%. Honestly, I don’t care; the base is lovely as it is. Overall, the fragrance is rather subtle if you don’t overdo the dosage.

Overall, it’s a nice fragrance that should be particularly interesting for those who miss the aforementioned YR rose perfume. Thanks to Hasi for the sample!

Served in a wooden bowl, bagged semolina pudding topped with lemon zest. Or is that from the egg liqueur I'm sipping right now!? :D

Subtle florals blend with a bright citrus note, plus a hint of wood. Smooth and rounded: a scent perhaps for sports.

delicate floral mix, but unfortunately it doesn't say anything to me, not bad but also not good. lost is the word that comes to mind.

The scent doesn't have a dazzling personality, but it brings a lot of discomfort.
Totally insignificant fragrance. Softly floral and fresh.
