A Bottle of Bucolic
Silvan was the second scent I tested from Rouge Bunny Rouge; based on my experience with Embers, I was expecting good things. Silvan goes on with an incense/animalic/damp woods vibe accompanied by pepper. Fortunately the pepper doesn't dominate, and by 30 minutes in, it's an enjoyable aqueous-fresh/damp woody scent. It's rural, bucolic, but not adventuresome the way that the Hylands collection (D.S & Durga) is. Instead, it imparts a natural, peaceful feel. It continues in this vein for two hours, emitting a healthy but not overpowering silage at 6" to 1' or so. At two hours, it warms slightly and takes a more aromatic turn; it lasts seven hours.

I find the incense a bit of an unnecessary component, and the longevity is just within acceptable range. The journey and the impressions it leaves are worth experiencing, though. This is another quality contender from RBR, but unfortunately, I have too many incense-based scents and so I have to let this one go.

Recommended for those interested in experiencing the wilds.

Do We Know Each Other?
I admit, I always read the last page of a mystery first! And then the first two or three pages. If these fit with the ending for me (I can't explain this further), I read the whole book.

This fragrance seems to know me and presents its base of musk and patchouli right with the first spray. Bam, here I am! But since a fragrance is not just made up of the base, a very timid incense appears, bringing in a bit of wood for help, while the top notes don't even make an appearance (they must have made other plans). Well, and it stays like this for hours. Very nice, it feels strangely familiar, probably because most men's fragrances use this base.
The longevity is quite good, you smell nice for at least 8 hours, neat, without surprises.

The fragrance is not bad, smells pleasant, but is neither unusual, nor surprising, nor individual. Like a nice, innocuous mystery that you can quickly read on a holiday flight.

Light and approachable green incense with grapefruit and juniper, more a forest than a church. Awful performance.

Incense scent that smells so synthetic, it reminds me of the fumes from a chemistry lab. There are much better options!

At first, I smell nothing - sprayed next to me? Then a hint of incense, a hint of freshness, just a hint of everything, but it’s enchanting!

Synthetic, almost woody, almost fresh, like a quickly cleaned Lufthansa cabin.

a finely tuned mix of grapefruit, incense, and pepper makes me think of water metal (maybe because of the name?) anyway, the image is there

Beautiful smoky wood scent, along with resins - a rather dark fragrance that gets its freshness kick from a hint of black pepper. Lovely :-)
