The Cat
.
Come, beautiful cat, to my heart,
But retract your sharp claws;
Let me look into your eyes,
In eyes of agate and ore.
When I then gently stroke you,
On your head and along your slender back,
My hand trembles with delight,
So that I may flatter you even more.
In my mind, I see the woman in you;
Her gaze resembles yours, dear creature.
It pierces me painfully through marrow and bone.
From foot to head, you are enveloped, a fine breath;
dangerous, swiftly it escapes from your brown fur.
(Charles Baudelaire 1821 - 1867)
.
Waquar - Dignity! Oh yes, I cannot describe it any other way. A beautiful scent, cat-like and changeable. One moment loud and dangerous, the next cuddly and gentle. I am enveloped all day in a longing and satisfaction at once.
Waquar begins on my skin as if it contains a strong splash of mint. Refreshing and instantly bringing a smile to my face. All the included fragrance notes are perceptible. Which one appears when is as surprising as it is unpredictable. Definitely a warm, soft, dry scent of ground coconut flesh, soaked in rum and then wrapped in tobacco. A tablespoon of honey makes Waquar soft and lovely, while Madagascar vanilla contributes a dry, powdery sweetness.
A cat that roams through the desert only to disappear into the jungle after a long journey, where it becomes cooler and woody. A few wildflowers, rose geranium with its slight bitterness and ylang-ylang, the barely blooming hum. Waquar reminds me a lot of Lys du Désert, just with this wonderful "mint" note that is not listed.
An exciting scent that offers warmth and security just as much as "watch out" I want you!
