Nice but boring

Dawn is a slight improvement from Endless, yet there is nothing enticing or interesting about this fragrance.

Like Endless, it is soapy and fresh, however it is not as flowery. I wouldn't say that Dawn is synthetic smelling, it is quite wearable and somewhat pleasant, but once again this fragrance is common and unimaginative.

The scent itself is quite musky and subtle yet the lasting power is horrible. If it wasn't for the lack of lasting strength this fragrance may have been passable.

Pure White

I think everyone knows the phenomenon of an earworm. You hear a song on the radio and can't get it out of your head all day long. Sometimes it's quite pleasant, as it can lift your mood. Other times, it's just total horror.
Need an example? I had the damn song Copacabana by Barry Manilow stuck in my head for an entire day. In between, I was quietly humming along. It was like a compulsion. At some point, my colleague started humming it too. It was a true vicious circle.

How does this relate to the scent? Do you know those moments when everything just fits? In that one brief moment when everything belongs perfectly together? That's how I felt with Dawn. I was driving in the morning. It was spring. The sun was just coming out. You could already tell it was going to be a beautiful day. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew a flurry of white blossoms over my car. I had applied Dawn that morning, and on the radio, A whiter shade of pale was playing. Just the perfect moment. I will always associate Dawn with this wonderful song.
Dawn smells to me like pure white flowers. Angelica, violet leaf, and orchid give it a spring-like quality. The citrus fruits stay in the background for me. Musk and vanilla add warmth and a slightly soapy touch. But that's not a bad thing; it only makes it seem even purer. I would unhesitatingly call Dawn a clean scent. The longevity is about 5 hours. The sillage is also good. It wafts around me for 3 hours before it becomes intimate.
I'm not a big Sex and the City fan, but I find Sarah Jessica Parker very likable, and I like her style. And exactly this style is reflected in her perfumes. If I hadn't known, I would never have thought of Dawn as a celebrity fragrance. I'm glad it's in my collection.

I must admit that I currently have a whiter shade of pale in my head, but there are worse earworms.
That her face at first just ghostly, turned a whiter shade of pale…………………………

A Fragrant Companion

A dear colleague passed on a still half-full small bottle of this fragrance to me, as she only kept it as a backup reserve in her drawer. But for such a shadowy existence, "Dawn" is actually far too good.

The first impression after spraying is for me, like for Sonjoschka: lily of the valley, and not just a few of them. However, this floral splendor quickly recedes and gives way to a delicate floral scent underpinned by what can probably be attributed to the aroma of fresh angelica leaves and stems (the word doesn't come through the keyboard with an "ä"). Whether these are necessarily orchids that are wafting so finely, I dare to doubt, as the orchids I know actually don't smell at all. Be that as it may - it is a pleasantly fresh, understated floral scent.

When the usual suspects of the base come in after a good half hour, that’s about it for the fragrance development. A perceivable floral hint remains until the end, underlaid with a very subtle vanilla and a warm musk tone, resulting in a very nice clean scent.

"Dawn" may be little spectacular, but it is a perfect all-rounder that doesn’t clash, conveys a freshly showered feeling, and can always be used when one has no idea which fragrance to wear.

The longevity is not particularly impressive for an EdP at 4 - 5 hours, but given the affordable price, one can reapply without any guilt.

Morning Dew on Flowers

Another star fragrance...
After I found Lovely by SJP quite nice, I had to try this one.

The top note almost knocked me over. At first, I thought "lily of the valley." But it seems to be the blend of angelica and orchid that is playing tricks on my nose. The citrus notes are just accompanying, but definitely not in the foreground.
It is quite a floral perfume. It could just as well be from the early 80s. I once had a lily of the valley soap that smelled very similar.
The orchid remains very delicate, nestled in musk and vanilla. The perfume becomes warmer and softer, more vanillic over time. The flowers blend beautifully with the warm base and become less noticeable. The scent becomes "clean." So it's perfect for work.

The sillage is only stronger at the beginning. Later - after about an hour, the perfume is quite close to the skin.

I like it excellently for spring. My mind immediately lights up with the sun when I smell it. It smells like a gentle, floral spring morning, where you can still see the dew on the flowers. You are still snuggled up in an angora cardigan.

Price-wise, it is currently very good. However, they have skimped on the bottle. It is kept simple. The cap is the same as with Lovely. The flowers in the background are glued on.

Addendum: The scent reminds me of Dior Addict Eau Sensuelle.
