Scaasi = Isaacs

I must admit that I have thought about the name of this since I got it. When I finally sat down to write a review I googled Arnold Scaasi, a Canadian fashion designer. Scaasi is his only perfume, and apparently, he changed his name somewhere along the way. He was originally named Isaacs - so Scaasi is Isaacs spelled backwards. I consider myself as pretty smart, but I would never have figured that out. Maybe i am not that smart at all
Being from the last year of 80s this perfume has all needed in a scent from this magnificent decade. It is loud, complex and lasts for ages. I am amazed that this is not owned by more people since it is really good.
I smell lemon and mandarin to begin with. It is a sweet, citric combination that compliments the flowers that appear after 15 minutes, narcissus and Jasmine in particular. This is a complex bouquet of several flowers, sweet and plump, like cake with fruits and candied violets. Smooth, with large volume. Perfect for bright colours and big hair. Finally, after many hours the scent, the vanilla, the musk, the sandalwood end the journey. A really interesting and delicious journey.
I like the bottle. It has a beautiful emerald green neck, one of my favorite colours, and it looks lovely on my shelf. The bottle is quite heavy, which I like.
