Sweet and sour all at once...

very hipster-like, synthetic and pumped with ISO-E or ambroxan I believe - but I actually like it.

Opening fruity and spicy with lemon going through a heart of powdery lavender and jasmine and finally drying down on a base of musk, vanilla and woods. It may be unisex, but definitely leaning masculine. Has a vibe kinda like A&F Fierce, but the smell is quite different - a kind of musky fabric softener (on a different note : I've heard rumors that Scotch and Soda have actually launched a "Barfly laundry detergent"). I imagine the target group to be younger people that do not want to stand out too much.

It may not be the nectar of the gods, but a quite safe scent without being overly generic

Barfly

Scotch & Soda, Barfly.

The scent of Scotch & Sode, not much bad to say about it. Barfly is a wonderful scent that everyone who has been to the Scotch & Soda stores knows.

I think Barfly is a gorgeous warm winter scent. If someone were to wear this in the summer I wouldn't ask to take a step aside, as I tend to do with with Stronger with You Intensely and those fragrances - which are overall lovely fragrances, just not for in the summer or spring.

The sillage of Barfly is not very big, which is not a problem if you want a modest scent, which is why it is an EDT and not an EDP from Extrait. However I do not know how large the sillage exactly is, because I havent worn it this year yet, I wore it last year a lot, but unfortunately I forgot the sillage. The fragrance sits close to the skin with a spray and stays there for a while, after 6-8 hours it is gone, which gives you the opportunity to put on another scent in the evening, when you have the opportunity.

A hug from an old friend

Quite a mess of notes, though I mostly get citrus, ambrox, bourbon, pepper, lavender, and cedar.

Sometimes you just want to smell good. And I think this smells very good! Reminiscent of Jazz Club, but lighters, less boozy, more floral. I wouldn't feel odd wearing this during the daytime.

A friend told me about this one. She smelled it and said it felt like she was hugging me. We live on opposite sides of the country now, so perhaps the sentimentality is influencing my perception. But isn't that what it's all about?

I open my eyes. Where am I?

I'm looking around.

I see dark wood, it must be a bar or a tavern. Just something a little more stylish. I'm going for a walk. The wood floor below me creaks. I look down at myself. The pleat of the suit trousers fits perfectly and matches the cream-coloured boat shoes. I feel warm. I take off my blazer, fold it once the length and lay it over one of the dusty, dark bar stools at the bar. Only now I hear "Spooky" by "Dusty Springfield" scratching out of a record player in the back corner. Not at all pushy, I feel good. Through two small, open windows bright sunrays penetrate into the dark room. In the back light the dust dances to the beat of the music, very smoothly, very slowly. I walk towards the front door. I push down the cool iron handle and the door opens creaking and heavy. Light comes towards me. The sun is flat. I breathe in fresh, cool air. It must be early in the morning. I walk up three steps and stand on cobblestones. In front of me a canal, a canal. I turn around and look back at the door. "Amsterdam Jazz Club" is written on the neon sign above the entrance. Again I am overcome by a feeling of well-being

I love that smell. It's just so special. One of the few fragrances that captivate me every time again and invite me to dream. No other fragrance lets my thoughts become so creative. Again and again I catch myself closing my eyes, inhaling the scent and my thoughts wandering away for a moment. Unexcited. Smooth. No rush.

For me, the scent is a reflection of good clothing. The perfect complement. I hope the production will never stop.

I was a follower of the brand Scotch & Soda until this year due to insolvency in the Netherlands, the prices were raised sharply, but the service has dropped significantly.
What remains is the love of the fragrance. This has high recognition value, even if it is very rarely smelled on others.
I think he smells warm, woody, absolutely unique and therefore wear it rather in the winter. He fits but also to a barbecue in the summer together with friends.
The first few minutes after spraying are very strong and he makes himself clearly noticeable. However, the scent becomes warmer and more pleasant for my nose from time to time and a woody vanilla asserts itself. This then remains so for the next 5-6 hours until he becomes skin tight.
On clothes, he keeps very long and sprays the typical Scotch & Soda vibes of yesteryear.
For an EDT and the price quite a good performance and worth a sniff. Can be tested in any Scotch&Soda store.
