An Experience of a Special Kind ?!?
As so many other fragrances before, "Crimson Desire | The Misk Company" crossed my path as part of an exciting chain letter.
Warned by the contributions of the previous testers in the thread such as "...don't test it in a place where you want to stay afterwards..." or "...makes it to my top ten horror list!...", I was slightly unsure whether I should really risk a test - especially on my precious skin.

Bravely, I finally whispered 'Who dares wins!' to myself, firmly pressed the spray head of the small pocket atomizer with the inconspicuous liquid inside twice and let the certain doom take its course.
What followed was something I had never experienced before. In fact, this was the first fragrance - and I would not truly describe myself as squeamish - that made me rush to the window and fling it wide open immediately after spraying!
In the air was an unexpectedly strong animalic-urine note that inevitably led me to send fervent prayers to all known and unknown gods of the universe that none of my colleagues would visit my workspace for the next 30 or better yet 60 minutes. What had I been thinking testing THIS fragrance not at home, where I could only attract the displeasure of my partner, but at the office...! Why did the fragrance have to project so overwhelmingly...! How could I explain to my colleagues where this peculiar scent in the air was coming from...?
After a few minutes of sheer panic, I finally surrendered to my fate and cautiously brought the back of my left hand to my nose. How surprised I was when I realized that the penetrating smell, which rigorously filled the air around me, was not at any time perceptible on my skin... 'Very nice, I don't have to chop off my left hand after all,' I thought with relief.
As time went on, the fragrance fortunately became less demanding. Spicy and fruity notes took over the command, and compared to the stormy start, it became somewhat uneventful.
In the drydown, the fragrance ultimately managed to convince me; musk, amber, and subtle animalic notes reminded me faintly of beloved fragrances like Atlantic Ambergris II and War and Peace II.

So, what is the conclusion of my selfless effort in testing "Crimson Desire | The Misk Company"?
If both oneself - as well as of course one's surroundings - have survived the opening of this composition unscathed, and one could also resist the strong urge to scrub the fragrance off, one is rewarded after a somewhat ordinary fruity-spicy phase with a wonderful drydown.
But to be honest, I don't want to have to wait 8 hours for a fragrance to truly appeal to me...

Scent of Associations
This fragrance is, as the designer suggests, an art. To get straight to the point, it is not a scent for everyday use. It is very potent and definitely not for inexperienced or unfree, i.e., biased noses. Why? It is strong, it pushes forward and is not reserved.

What does it remind me of or what do I associate with the scent when I first sprayed it? Perhaps Monday after a long weekend. Physical education class. It is stuffy and warm, and in the locker rooms, the scent of cold sweat lingers in the air. I am ordered to move the springbok and the vaulting box from storage into the damp gym. The old leather that has been used for 30 years. That was roughly my first thought.

After a while, I can imagine something else. A couple experiencing a wild erotic night under a starry sky. The lustful bodies entwine. Sweat flows and desire is palpable. The next day, the damp, moist earth and the wet sleeping bags have merged.

The scent starts dark, yes, deep-fruity, and there is a hint of mold; I can already understand the connection to "fecal." One must give it a chance, engage with it, and then one can filter out the individual components.
The peach is noticeable despite the dominant animalic notes, while the floral notes clearly take a back seat. A slight sweetness? Acceptable.

In the later stages, the light teenage note, the vetiver, emerges, followed by berries, dark berries.

In the end (if one can speak of an end), the earthiness comes through with something basic, the fruits (forest berries) linger, and the black musk takes command.

However, the presence of the animalic notes endures throughout the entire progression.

All in all, an interesting scent that will not have many fans. Perhaps it can be worn at fetish parties or when one wants to be quite extravagant.
It is strong, and less is more.

Longevity and sillage are TOP.

The bottle is okay, nothing special, the image seems to be "just" glued on. The cap is okay.

Fear Sweat
Do you know that feeling? Adrenaline bubbling through your body, breath quickening, hands getting sweaty, and feeling both cold and warm at the same time. Fear sweat spreads. It shines on the forehead like a wet washcloth hanging on the radiator. And it drips and drips and drips away. On the floor that was first cleaned with chlorine, which was so moldy that the bacteria stood like soldiers in the filthy ground, erecting a kind of wall upwards.

Yes, that’s how it plays in the mind when you apply the scent. An unusual acidity in the background. Chizza mentioned Almdudler here. I can only perceive the herbs much later, as initially, a lot of animalistic and moldy notes saturate the perception, as if gliding through seemingly endless cobwebs.

The acidity becomes stronger, berry fizz spreads, pushing some of the sweat beads off the face. As if finally letting some sun into the oppressive atmosphere. Along with a very unusual spirit of musk, which has been stretched with cumin. Then it becomes distinctly greener and also much spicier.

The base is a play of fear sweat, joy, and aversion. Dilemma, a good word. A scent that does not reveal itself openly, like a book, yet then pulls aside the black curtains. A surreal opening, driven to a bitter end by animalistic blows, clearly stained with musk. And then, sinking into warm earth, the body remains almost still. The fear sweat blurred, mingling with the exhalations of the approaching night.

Dense, heavy, burdensome, strongly greenish, underpinned by acidity - it has something, mentally pulls you along, but as a companion for everyday life, it is certainly not.

Earthy berry aroma, dirty musk. Fresh grasses, fruity, animalic, damp ground, a bottle of Almdudler. Unusually good.

This animalic scent with a hint of rotten fish combined with sweet/fruity notes reminds me of the smell of a landfill. Really disgusting!

A passionate love act is fitting. However, the participants had no time to freshen up beforehand. Plus, fermented fruit.

Lightly dirty, animalistic fizzy powder mix. A bit fruity, a tiny bit herbal, with a slight floral touch. Fizz in the air!

A lot of po right from the start. Fermented fruit, not too sweet. Floral green, surprisingly deep and pleasantly animalistic as it develops.
