The Little Caterpillar

At night in the moonlight on a Japanese pear tree leaf lay a small egg.
And when the sun rose one Sunday morning, bright and warm, there hatched from the egg a small hungry caterpillar.
She quickly started to eat lots of fruit,bread,cupcakes and cheese,but she was still not full,besides she had a terrible stomachache.
The consulted sensei diagnosed a fructose, gluten, lactose intolerance and prescribed amber and peony in small quantities.Soon she felt better,she built herself a pretty cocoon of silk,which she left after a few days as a beautiful butterfly. She made friends with a musk ox,but that is another story.

'The Silk' is a soothing fragrance from the house of Sensai.The scent is balanced and the fragrance pyramid clearly recognizable (Except for that 'Cherry-Cherry-Lady' orchid ;) )
A warm,creamy and sweet fragrance, unobtrusive without edges and corners.
Pronounced feminine.
The bottle represents the cocoon of a silkworm.
If you want to come to rest, the silky security of this fragrance may be just right.

Balsam for nose and soul

what does it say about a scent?

You may spend a day in one of the German scent temples and test EVERY single one of the infinite scents. From the haute couture of the Rojas to the lowlands - everything is available.

Of course you have to be careful and not to let everything on your skin - after all, space is limited, or your own mobility rules out some possibilities, as your nose can't get there.
So first of all we spray on a paper strip or - my favourite - on a piece of silk.
Only what is interesting here or there will get on the skin.

When, at the end of all the sniffing, this scent is in the basket, which has risen above most of the competitors, because in spite of a sore nose and the beginning of the scent hangover, "Silk" still does good - then I call it balm for nose and soul.

His quiet gentleness is what makes him magic for me.
Although the tonka bean in the pyramid is only led in the base, I take it from the beginning. It is the foundation of the flowers and fruits.
Takes there a too much of sharpness or effervescence to flatteringly support the peony so that it does not fall behind against lily of the valley, orchid or amber.

The musk is very restrained for my nose and not at all animalistic.

That smell envelops me all day long. Even in bed at night I can still perceive it in the crook of my arm

Nice clean-soft feel-good scent

As an avowed lover of Sensai products, I naturally couldn't get past the perfume. I couldn't imagine that a company that makes great skin care products would now also produce a great fragrance, but I was taught otherwise. I'm a newcomer here and I may lack a certain olfactory expertise, but the fragrance gives me a sense of well-being in the form of gentle freshness and softness. Like still warm, fresh laundry from the dryer. One feels clean and wrapped in a cuddly blanket (made of silk).

Unfortunately the scent does not stay on my skin for long, but when sprayed on clothes it is still perceptible the next day.

What does Sharry baby orchid smell like?

Actually, I just wanted to make a brief statement about "The Silk".
But when I saw the fragrance pyramid, my curiosity got the better of me.
What does Sharry Baby Orchid smell like?
Like chocolate...What?!
Now I sniff more intensively...could I imagine something chocolatey? Maybe not dark but white?
Not a chocolate bar but powder for hot chocolate milk?
Not cocoa powder but cocoa butter? Or simply the cocoa fruit, not yet further processed? Hmm could be...let your imagination run wild...

The Silk is one of my first perfumes.
I didn't know Parfumo back then. So I went to a perfumery and asked for "advice". I actually wanted something with pineapple or melon.
But the nice expert thought I was just the type for this one delicate aroma. Pineapple and melon wrapped in silk, so to speak.

Without the fragrance pyramid, I could imagine everything and nothing in this fragrance anyway.
Exactly THAT is what makes the Silk so appealing.
Even today, the most I would identify is rose and musk. The fragrance notes listed astonish me. Would never have thought of it, but I wouldn't say no to any of them either.

You can simply imagine whatever your imagination allows.
Descriptions such as powdery, floral, fruity, creamy, sweet, woody, ambery, musky, ozonic, aquatic, fresh, vanilla, delicately spicy.
Yes, I can confirm everything.
However, I find it linear, but long-lasting for such a delicate fragrance...
The sillage surrounds me at a personal social distance and you can still smell the fragrance even after a long day at work.
I also notice it in the evening when I return home, still filling the room in the bathroom.
Very good price/performance ratio.

Here comes the Sun

Yes, our noses and perception change over the course of our lives. Regardless of the season and mood. That's what happened to me today with The Silk Eau de Parfum. This sunny silk dream lay unnoticed in my drawer. I have this tendency to get my outfit and matching perfume ready the night before. As I've already said, I'm not a fan of winter perfumes, the gloomier the day, the more mood-lifting the perfume. I don't know why I only noticed this summer/ sun/ outdoor activity perfume today. Absolutely cheerful, sparkling green summery opening :
Violet leaf and pear like on a first early summer day in or in front of your favorite restaurant. Citrus through bergamot, like a refreshing drink with a pinch of pepper. The fragrance becomes really creamy and floral towards the middle. All the feminine notes such as amber and peony welcome the sun. I don't find the Silk woody at all. This beautiful fragrance will be taken out to dinner tomorrow, even if it will unfortunately be indoors.
