The Silk Underwear Scent
The name is really well chosen in this case. Silk, delicate, not necessarily a weatherproof everyday companion, translucent, noble, actually unnecessary but very expensive. That pretty much sums it up.
OK, not quite...

The Silk stands at Douglas and Co. alongside all the other better designer fragrances, not differing much from them, only it's a tad more expensive and somewhat more subtle in its projection. One wears it exclusively for oneself. But why not? We're back to the topic of silk... in this case, silk underwear. You don't wear that to get compliments on the street.

But anyone thinking that The Silk is an erotic scent is on the wrong track. We are dealing here with a delicate, very fresh, and at most a little playful floral fragrance. Pepper and bergamot make the opening nice and zesty. The former also gives the floral heart note of lily of the valley and violet a certain sparkle. However, the overall impression is really very subtle. The scent is a pure skin scent. A slightly fruity hint of pear only becomes noticeable after a few hours. The base is then creamy with tonka and musk, but still with a bit of pepper on top.

You can tell that The Silk is really high quality. I've been wearing it for 6 hours and initially thought after half an hour that it would soon fade away, but with hardly any sillage, it still stays in place. I really like the scent. An elegant, almost ethereally light floral fragrance, but with a certain liveliness thanks to the pepper. It shouldn't bother you that the surroundings perceive absolutely nothing of the scent. And then of course, the question arises whether it's really necessary to spend so much money for this subtle pleasure. But that's simply a matter of personal judgment.

Fine Almond Cream, but Very Subtle
"The Silk" is not a performer that wants to draw attention to itself. No. It is an understated fragrance: you come across as very well-groomed, showered, and moisturized-with a fine, slightly sweet-powdery almond cream scent-but not perfumed. I don't see almond in the fragrance pyramid, but I somehow smell almost only almond in cream form. Very nice, very fine, very feminine, and very, very subtle-hardly anyone would notice the scent unless they are smelling directly on the skin. That's my impression. Therefore, it is more of a seductive bedtime fragrance for certain occasions. The longevity of the scent is also rather mediocre than wow.
Would the fragrance be wearable by men? Why not. But it seems to me that it is rather designed for women.

Silk fits wonderfully. A body lotion scent, like freshly applied cream. Very pure and delicate. Almost ethereal. A bit too sweet for me, actually.

Sour violet is a bit fussy at first, but then it kicks off, and soft powder arrives to delight me after all. Somehow like that ^^

I actually like it better than the EDP because it's lighter and more delicate. A silky, well-groomed scent that is close to the skin but still lasts a long time.

Elves dance through the dew-fresh flower garden. Delicate powder falls on their feather-light silk scarf + on creamed skin. Gentle nothing.

Pear is only very subtle in the background, truly silky-powdery associations. Wonderful delicacy on a musk base, very beautiful and soft.
