Wonderful Development.

The opening: a thick patch of too much caramel and hazelnut slaps you in the face.

This quickly fades though into a beautiful spicy wood freshness with vetiver and hay, accompanied by a twist of licorice.
Very Refined and Yum!

I admire this second stage, it is superbly composed.
It leaves me wondering where all the previous -oppressive- sweetness went.
Probably justifiably downgraded to serve the above mentioned concoction.

I only wish this second stage was a tad stronger.
Or have I become so numb while testing heavy perfumes, that any scent will have to blow my head of in order to be able to appreciate any sillage?...

A must try!

This fragrance opens with an interesting blend of woods, toasted hazelnuts and caramel. Incense and liquorice frame these notes and provide a salty-smoky contrast. Together with vetiver and various woods, incense dominates the mid development of the scent. The gourmand notes — nuts, caramel and orange — sweeten and balance the composition, but are no longer prominent. The more the fragrance develops, the more it loses substance and the woodsy notes give way to dried grass. Spices warm the last stages of the progression and create a beautiful woodsy-earthy dry down that is representative for the whole scent.

A coffee note?????

Just love this trendy sexy juice, smells like mine, but the thing Is, I get a defo Coffee note, now Its not listed In the fragrance notes but I'm 100% confo It as Coffee with In, so what do you think guys coffee or not? Anyway Magical scent all the same.

Coffee party with Irish coffee

Today I took a spray of No. 10 and was pleasantly surprised by the cosy atmosphere emanating from the fragrance.

I'm thinking of cozy afternoons with my ma and her friend Gisela, which we enjoyed spending in the Cafe Wien.

The place was plush and dignified - but not kitschy and musty.
A comfortable cafe for Best Agers - where I also liked to relax.

Despite the hint of nostalgia everything was neat and stylish.

The two Irish coffees, which my ladies ordered obligatorily, were also stylish.

This tasty coffee caramel note is also no. 10.
Hazelnut cookies were served - and everything was so peaceful.
People were in a chatty mood and enjoyed the company, which was easily surrounded by incense.
But that was only a touch that deepened the conversations, but still did not disturb the tranquility.

For me a beautiful memory of a harmonious get-together.

Cape Town at the old timber market

Cape Town - my second home and this scent catapults me non-stop to Capetown to the Old Wood Market, which unfortunately no longer exists as it once was, it had to give way because of the Green Point football stadium. At this market, there was always stall after stall, row after row of wonderful handmade specialities - mostly made of wood. Lots of people, dry warmth or even heat, light brown dusty floor, warm creaminess close to the skin and warm dark wood were always the smells I noticed at this market. This scent gives me a feeling of home when I close my eyes, it gives me the warmth and sun of South Africa - and also a bit of homesickness and wanderlust
