0001 Cemetery Lane Sixteen92 2020 Extrait de Parfum

The limestone here it's really something, let's say that. It smells like you ended up in a forgotten cemetery, and vines are growing in between the cracks. A green scent for sure, but it doesn't lose its goth personality. Pretty melancholic, especially in the opening. Sadly the dry-down seems similar to other Sixteen92 I've tested. I wish they dared a bit more.

By chance (yes, a lot happens by chance here on parfumo, as if one would consciously search for such things...) I stumbled upon the fragrances of Sixteen92. Even as an ex-Goth, I find cemetery scents very interesting and was catapulted back to my youth with the first sniff, recalling extensive cemetery walks.

I dabbed the fragrance on and read the note of limestone and thought to myself, "What nonsense, as if limestone would smell in any way," and in that moment, a picture unfolded in my mind of rain-soaked gravestones with some moss and ivy, surrounded by conifers. And it's just a tiny bit like strolling past the cemetery compost heap - it smells of withered leaves and wreaths. The opening is therefore fresh, herbaceous, and green-woody, without being sharp. And I must say, I love this opening.

To my regret, everything that follows doesn't captivate me as much. It becomes cozier, warmer, and less quirky. But that's exactly what makes the fragrance absolutely wearable and pleasing. Longevity and sillage could be better, but they are appropriate for the scent and its effect.

What I find truly depressing, however, is that this fragrance comes from the limited Halloween Collection 2020, I only ordered a sample, and thus I can only enjoy enveloping myself in the scent of wet gravestones very sparingly.
