Pear + Olive Slumberhouse 2012

Fruity and creamy proposal
I must admit that Pear+Olive has pleasantly surprised me, it had never caught my attention due to its declared notes, until I received a sample from a great friend.
It's hands down the freshest opening I've ever smelled from this house, even fresher than Grev and Fjerne (which Josh, I understand, created Fjerne for his personal summertime use).
It opens with a refreshing pear, at its optimal point of ripeness, neither too green nor too ripe, and this has been the key for me, since I don't like excess sweetness. Although it is not declared, I can feel a touch of coconut-pineapple. This sweetness is accompanied by the oily softness that I think the olive gives, to end up settling on a woody and slightly boozy base, without the pear ever losing prominence.
Without a doubt a versatile and easy-to-like fragrance, suitable for spring and summer days, although I would not choose it for an excessively hot day, for which I already have other options.
