The afterlife, the river and rebirth
Where will this path lead? There are veils of conifer needles, damp branches of firs and Swiss pines, their clammy terpenes with moss pearl green covering the musty woods of the barque. The Nile flickers its light on the bark, the dance of hesperidic, glistening waves in frosty mists of incense crystals that gradually rise, crackling ethereally, to where the cool streams flow and the stars sink into the earth. The Australian manufactory "Teone Reinthal Natural Perfume", produces with exclusively natural raw materials in small batches of 3 to 5 liters each, which can therefore vary depending on seasonal conditions. However, these variations are not only accepted, but also worked out and emphasized.
"Osyris" thematizes the star Sirius, which for the Egyptians is directly connected to the trinity Isis, Horus and Osiris, the Egyptian god of the afterlife, the Nile and rebirth. Teone herself describes "Osyris" as her "Holy Grail".
The fragrance begins bright and ethereal, as if you were above moist green conifer branches, with characteristic Swiss stone pine aromas standing out alongside cypress and pine needles. Underneath, earthy, mulchy Koh Kong oud notes quickly become apparent, which are then contrasted by citrusy resins (Somali frankincense, mastic, elemi, Boswellia dalzielii) and fresh, green resins (Omani frankincense, pine and spruce resin). The sandalwood provides further, slightly sticky-resinous overtones, while the various types of copal with their rather rooty resinous aromas create a connection to the almost mossy-earthy oud notes. A restrained, projecting ethereal state between heaven and earth, which unfortunately only lingers for a few hours.
