Greed is not cool when it comes to perfumes!
Great jeans are made by those who, although overpriced, are stylish and have been totally on trend for a while now... but this perfume is a complete miss, it smells as weak and boring as Boss Bottled Sport. It's even a bigger total failure.

The bottle looks good, that's about all the positives there are. Sillage and longevity are, with goodwill, below average, but the weakest part is yet to come: the scent itself!

It is herbal, mossy, peppery, citrusy, but all in such a dull and cheap-smelling way that it neither attracts women, nor is suitable for sports, nor for partying or even for dates.

As described by colleagues, it is at best suitable as a room spray, to be honest, it's even too bad for that. It doesn't smell really pleasant either, it even reminded me of jeans on the second sniff, but unfortunately worn ones...

Weak performance True Religion, leave the perfumes alone!

Better than nothing? - No, wearing nothing is better!
True religion. Whether you are religious or not, there isn't much "true" about it (as they say in metal jargon about authentic music!)

How can a fashion label deliver something so half-hearted? I bought a bottle of this low-budget mainstream fragrance out of desperation just before my Parfumo membership, and I just tested it again.

I'll start from the back:

^^^ 1. Bottle ^^^
I like used look. I've got everything from clothing to guitars to shoes in that style. So the bottle did catch my attention a bit. Although it’s so used that it really looks like a relic from the 40s, a bit shabby. It doesn't feel nice enough to want to hold the bottle with pleasure. John Varvatos has shown us much better with his fragrances Vintage, Artisan (Wicker Chair Style), or Dark Rebel (Leather Rocker Style)!

>>> 2. Scent >>>
Identity-less male-fresh cucumber-spice water. If I've learned one thing, it’s that you can make something good out of ANY scent note. I bet there is a good cucumber scent. Unfortunately, "True Religion Men" turned out to be a poorly made, one-dimensional pseudo-Davidoff knockoff diluted with cucumber.

I understand that it's uncool to be a jeans fashion label and not have a fragrance. But then take another sniff of Diesel's "Fuel for Life," dear True Religion creators: You can smell the lack of class there too, but at least it has some sex appeal!

vvv 3. Sillage and Longevity vvv
Both are present, but no one can tell you exactly how much and how long, as it tends to wash off before you can endure it for long.
Fragrances like this are the reason I sometimes had a hard time deciding which scent was my favorite in the local drugstore as a teenager: in this price range, you really need to know where to reach - and where not to.

Nowadays, I would actually rather wear nothing than make this trip to the toilet.

If anyone has a completely different opinion, I’m curious to hear the reasoning, as it is, after all, a matter of taste:

Some have it, others don’t.

Room Spray
I absolutely have to agree with my predecessor. I received the perfume as a gift and was initially totally thrilled by the look: the metal combined with leather really makes an impression. Unfortunately, that's about it. For some unexplained reason, the scent always reminds me a bit of a cucumber:

Green, lots of water, little flavor...it basically lacks pepper and salt, something to make it enjoyable to wear. Now, it only serves as a room spray for me, as I have no other use for it, aside from decoration.

Benetton, Mexx, Esprit?
This time, the jeans label True Religion mixes with the original fragrance notes listed here.
The fragrance designers were not particularly inventive. They probably had the next haute couture or the current red quarterly figures on their minds again.

The packaging and content clash; the leather jacket is just a Wonderbra. With a cowboy scent, I would at least have expected an olfactory leather whip.

For me, it's a unisex EdP, very light and even a bit white-floral.

60 euros for 50 ml is absolutely unjustified.

Companion into the Twenties
The scent accompanied me over the threshold from my teenage years into my twenties. H/S is really not outstanding and it may indeed come across as a bit synthetic, but I didn't think about that at the time. I received compliments and I still like the smell to this day. Additionally: really beautiful bottle!

A solid men's fragrance with green, woody, and citrus notes, but unfortunately it gets lost in the average shower gel scent.

Beautiful freshness. Light pleasant sweetness. Nothing cucumber-like. I don't smell any spiciness. Lasts quite well.

Subtle, smells familiar, unremarkable! Leather-spicy with a hint of sweetness. I like the bottle design, but the scent is rather standard and too weak.

The bottle looks nice and feels good in the hand - the excitement when buying it was there, but it disappeared just as quickly as the scent on the skin.
