Friendly-"grim" Forest Incense Burner
It really has something special! Even if it is "at your own risk"! Well, the "risk" indeed lies in being captivated by this scent. In no time, it has caught you, rolled you up, and wrapped you tightly, binding you with wooden rods and laying you down in the middle of the forest.
There, you are unwrapped and released into a smoky-green freedom. You don't even know how and when it happened. You're there and you wonder.
A warm-coniferous and orange-scented aromatic world kicks off further olfactory adventures. You find yourself in loosely arranged fir groves, sunlight breaking through the treetops and painting patterns on the forest floor. Light green-yellow Davana dust flutters loosely through the slightly moving air. Like delicate powder that gently settles on everything. In the background, balsamic-smoky scents reminiscent of "bright incense." Almost spherical, like mysterious sounds that seem to come softly from everywhere and nowhere.
Woody coniferous spice and resinous-scented berries. Fragrant dark green. Light and shadow.
You want to stay. You have become "bribable," wanting to return there again and again. The scent "doesn't lie." It captures "forest-smoky" promises and doesn't let go easily!!!

The Narcotic Element
The only risky decision is to write a comment about it, as I find it particularly difficult to convey the scent impressions here.

In the top note, juniper mixed with citrus notes creates something I would describe as herbal to green. This then slowly transitions into resinous, spicy, and remains that way for a long time. There’s also something in there that smells similar to Omani frankincense. After some research on the ingredients used, I suspect it’s the elemi resin.

Towards the end of the progression, the resinous tones fade, and more and more the impression of a dark amber emerges. However, this takes time, as the scent lasts a very long time and the sillage is strong. The fir balsam, which I find unpleasant in other fragrances during the drydown, does not have a negative effect here.

I would describe the scent as grounding and calming, and above all narcotic, which could be the reason why this name was chosen. Yes, the more I smell it and think about it, the more I find that the word "narcotic" is truly fitting here. Similar scents that I have already tested are, in my opinion, Larmes du Désert or Oud Deneii / Tabac Licorii, but this one has, in addition to the resinous-spicy, the narcotic element as well.

Anyone who likes this type of fragrance should definitely give it a try; I think it’s worth it. I will now sniff it a little more and roll my eyes while doing so.

Captivating forest smoky! Dark green. Pine grove & juniper thicket. Not gloomy due to brighter citrus elements. Very woody, balsam resins! *

Davana gives this resin scent a fruity yellow layer. Minty Omani frankincense note in the background. Oriental chypre.
