Somehow unrefined
The tart-fruity black currant defines the opening of RLF for me. The rosewood adds a slight woody note. I do not recognize bergamot and cinnamon

On the way to the floral heart note, I already perceive the hazelnut. It holds the floral blend together with its still delicate nutty-creamy aroma, smoothing out peaks and fluctuations; it is neither soapy, floral, nor rose-majestic, it feels as if they have to work their way through a cotton ball. As it progresses, it becomes nuttier and creamier with woody notes, and a slight sweetness also emerges. Interestingly, RLF fades out for me with the cinnamon from the top note.

René Lazard Femme did not completely convince me. I like the hazelnut, but somehow I have the impression that René Lezard Femme does not really know what it wants.

I thank Atropos for the opportunity to test.

I Am a Christmas Cookie
At least when I wear RLF.

This is a scent that I classify as gentle and charming, which polarizes me extremely. I have owned it for about 10 years, 40 ml were once inside, and the bottle is still half full. So it's not exactly my favorite fragrance.

RLF starts fresh, citrusy, and fruity with a creamy-soft undertone. Very quickly, it becomes creamy-nutty, rosewood comes through nicely on me, and the cinnamon remains subtly in the background. Hazelnut gives the fragrance its special note and dominates; it could also be an almond-nut accord, even though almond is not listed in the fragrance pyramid. Over time, RLF becomes softer, with floral notes joining the almondy nut. In the base, I find it sweet due to the vanilla, and sandalwood also comes through well on me. I am finally enveloped in a cozy, flattering sweetness that reminds me of marzipan, is close to the body, and does not disturb during sweat-inducing group dynamics (dancing). Throughout the scent's development, RLF occasionally reminds me a bit of L'Instant Magic, although the base is entirely different.

Although I see RLF as a fragrance for everyday wear and rather agreeable, it certainly has its place. It is cozy and sweet, the sillage is good, and the longevity is very good. It is by no means overpowering, but friendly, warm, and protective. It doesn't make a loud entrance but accompanies and supports. Since I tend to be cautious with fragrances, especially when I have an important official appointment or visit an acquaintance who is prone to migraines, RLF is more appropriate then. Last year, it was my Christmas scent. At a Christmas family gathering a year or two earlier, I had nearly narcotized my sister with two sprays of unreformulated Obsession (note to avoid misunderstandings: that was not due to the fragrance, but to the sillage!). Because an unconscious sister cannot hand me a gift, I therefore opted for RLF last year just to be safe (and received a gift).

Through the entire olfactory harmony, the nut-almond accord shines through. It gives RLF its own, special quality, that certain something that prevents it from drifting into excessive agreeability and thus into mediocrity. RLF is not exactly a blockbuster or a great passion. Nothing here is loud, demanding, sultry, smoky, or aphrodisiacal, even though cinnamon, as a classic aphrodisiac, is at the very beginning of the fragrance pyramid. No wildness! No dark sides! No rebellion! And certainly not! I know this is hard to imagine if you are used to more balanced fragrances beyond charm, but it is the bitter truth. Over time, this becomes a bit difficult for me, and that is exactly why I wear RLF rather rarely.

RLF is a fragrance that can merge with the wearer if she allows it. In any case, she should be able to embrace its gentleness, its warm, bright, friendly, loving, and non-intrusive aura. So far, I can only do this partially.

Nutty and Soft
A name completely unknown to me and a perfume with a lot in it.
It starts citrusy and soft, and immediately there is a bright powdery nuance present.

A scent that captivates you from the very first spray.
I notice a beautiful, but not overpowering almond accord that runs through the entire fragrance journey.

René Lezard Femme is an elegant, yet not overly feminine fine fragrance that is suitable for everyday wear while still being something special.

It is a lightly creamy care scent of the lovely kind.

Delicate flowers and a very subtle gourmand touch make themselves known. Later, a nutty note becomes stronger, reminiscent of pistachio.

I cannot discern the individual notes. All components harmonize beautifully with each other. I really like the scent.

For such a bright and soft fragrance, it has a very good scent aura and good longevity.

Femme evokes slight memories of Tardes by Carner Barcelona.

I want to have it.

Spring flowers on a rich, lush base: Just hazelnut, oak wood, and milk - what a blend for violets, lily of the valley & co.

The beginning is great - fruity-sweet, spicy-soft.
I would have bought it right away.
Unfortunately, it then turns artificial, becoming sticky and annoying.

Beautifully floral with rose/jasmine/violet/freesias (wow so many flowers... :D), plus a light fruity-powdery touch. Not too sweet. Great for autumn.

Delicious~light~zesty. A true 70% - scent, it's great, but it doesn't go beyond this brand for me. For some reason...

For me, an extremely sweet bouquet of flowers, a strong punch that doesn't fade quickly - not bad - but something about it bothers me.
