The Scent of My Mother
My mother uses very little perfume, as she has many strong allergies and cannot tolerate scents. She is also more of a casual type, having always worn sporty fragrances in the past. However, she wears this one (only on her clothes) when she dresses up.
I was initially surprised to see a powdery scent in her possession.
Then I became curious and tested it.
The opening is briefly fresh, but the fragrance quickly becomes powdery, and I can distinctly smell the incense and jasmine. However, it does not come across as overpowering, which is often how I perceive incense, and I cannot smell the listed lily of the valley at all (thankfully...).
Later, the scent does become a bit softer, but the incense lingers for a long time and remains unobtrusive.
It is a truly elegant fragrance, although it is probably more suited for not-so-young ladies (my mother will soon be 60, so she is not an old bag).
It is not light. But pleasantly unsweet. Powdery, but not suffocating.
Yes, I can understand why she wears it as her only scent.
