A scent that needs to add more fiber to its diet
Where do I even begin with this one... I could complain that "green notes" are super cheap and synthetic; or that jasmine is kinda pissy; or that it's too strong and hurts my nose... But eventually I would have to move on and address the elephant in the room. So here we go.
I'm sorry, but this smells like shit. Not figuratively, as in "I hated it", although that too – I hated every moment of it until I gave up and went to scrub it off ~30 minutes in. Literally. It smells like genuine human shit. Extra pungent "you should probably change something about your diet" one. I thought that a weird fecal undertone in Aventus for Her was bad, but Spring Flower takes that gentle whisper of a poop note and dials it up to 11.
At first I thought that something was going on with my nose, but ~20 minutes after I sprayed it my partner came home. As I came out to greet him, first thing he asked was whether something was wrong with the sewage system again ; (◞‸◟)
Good news is that sillage here is pretty soft by Creed's standards. People in 3-meter radius around you will notice weird wafts of sewage air. At 2 meters the "oh, that's literal poop" thought will become unignorable. An arm's length away "green notes" and jasmine will become noticeable and complete the composition with, respectively, a layer of air freshener and an undertone of cat piss. Imagine that as someone's first impression of you.
A pain to scrub off. I ended up wasting half a bottle of ethanol to finally get rid of most of it.
So, yeah, that was definitely an experience. Is this how perfumers at Creed envision women? Big yikes.
