Eyes Closed and Off to the Sea
I stand in an Italian perfumery with a clear idea: off to the sea! But not to the stormy ocean with its herbal notes, rather to a sea with gentle, salty waves….. warm and soothing in rhythm. No, I don’t speak Italian, but the extremely nice owner immediately knew what kind of sea I meant. She sprayed Cave-Marine on a test strip and Bam, there it was! Soft, salty, white flowers, light - very light - wood….. so incredibly beautifully enveloping. I am shockingly in love.
